I really enjoyed your tour of the island. I will be cruising on the same ship in a few months. Since I like to walk, I would like to spend the day walking around the entire island's edge of the water, that is if it is possible. How long do you think it will take me? How many miles would you say it is? Thanks.

Back in the good ole days, before it was Perfect Day, I used to often do this and go into areas "off limits" and have walked around the island many times. Today, this is not possible. You can still get a solid walk in starting at Chill Beach, cut inland and go past the Coco Beach Club, walk South beach, and return. It is a one way-route but will be the best.

Okay, so I'm going to be the contrarian today - I am not a fan of Perfect Day/CocoCay! Now I used to be a fan of the island when it was known simply as CocoCay. "Back in the day" a stop at CocoCay held the promise of a quiet, lazy beach day. But now it's pretty much the Orlando of the Bahamas. Walking the island used to be a nice, relaxing event. I understand the motivation to "enhance" the island. I just preferred it when it was less developed. I sometimes don't even get off the ship there anymore. We'll be there again in a couple of weeks. Maybe I'll give it another and try to keep an open mind. And by the way, I think you may have been referring to an Airstream. They make rounded, silver travel trailers.

Great tour Brandon! We were there a week ago but got rained out. It always seems beautifully planned and maintained. Were po Mariner and looked it very much. One of the passengers told us the RC perks on Celebrity were only good from 5 to 7. Is that your experience?

Yeah, last week was rained even more than last week! I always hate it when a short weekend cruise has a rain day! Celebrity does have a happy hour as part of their perks and is only open from 5pm to 7pm.

If you have your own goggles, no need to book through the app. It's a rental of the equipment and not a tour or anything. Have fun!

You will need to log into your royal Caribbean account. If your cruise is not linked, add it. From there select "plan my cruise" and you will see the full website of everything you can book.

You can!! It is actually the only way to walk to South Beach is through the old nature trail :-)

24 days and counting….. who is going to the 2023 Key West Fantasy Fest? October 20th to 29th. This year‘s theme is “Uniforms and Unicorns” 200 years of sailing into fantasy. The theme reflects the Florida Keys 2023 bicentennial. It’s to celebrate 200 years of the United States Navy in the Florida Keys.

I like how they made the tie in! I will not be there for Fantasy Fest (not sure if I have ever done it) but will be on Celebrity Summit. Good news though, I have booked a TON of sailings in 2024 and even into 2025 where the weekend ship will be porting in Key West instead of Nassau. I am SUPER excited!

Hi! Great tour! I have a questions for you please. It looks like the South beach area is the less populated area. My husband and I kinda like to be away from all the hoopla and listen to nature, the ocean etc. Is this the best area for that? Is the private club better for this? Is it worth the money? Thanks !!! 🙂

South beach is probably your best bet. There are a lot of folks on Coco Cay these days and is difficult to find a place to yourself. When at South Beach, find a chair near the over water cabanas and will give you the best experience. The Coco Cay Beach club is a great experience but comes at a price. It would feel more relaxing and tranquil. I do not pay for it but know others who love it.

I am jealous of the waterproof kindle!!! I have drowned two different ones at CocoCay from rain showers! Current Kindle has held up and I still don't believe is new enough to be waterproof.

Sorry Eugenia! I had not paid for access to the water park during this video but the entrance attendant was kind enough to let me quickly walk in to film. I admittingly panicked a little bit as I knew I wasn't supposed to be in there and kept it too brief and didn't show enough. I apologies :-(

Hey there, yeah, I apologies for that! I know I did it in several areas where I was torn on which direction to go next. The island is also not just a straight shot which would have made it easier.
