Great tips. I think I did all of them on our visit over the last few weeks except we were there in golden week. I can’t express strongly enough how convenient the IC card is, it’s a must. Just to add, we had to go through Narita airport but took the train to Narita town the day before and had a really good time in this town which is lovely. Then a shirt 15minute taxi to the airport for our early flight home. A wonderful country and I can’t wait to get back there

Any tips for solo travelers in Tokyo? 😂 Tokyo seems like its more of a city you enjoy with other people so I am worried... I was in Osaka last year and did tour groups but its a hit or miss with the kind of people in the group.

Depending where you're staying, a bus may be a better option than a train for getting to your hotel. There are buses that go from Haneda to many of the popular areas (and even some individual hotels) directly.
