The X6 is a BEAST. The design of the light bars is genius, it makes the DIY incredibly easy to assemble, and the coverage.....INSANE. The only downside? The size of the X6 is huge, so huge that adjusting the height can be a challenge (4 ratchets required).

Yeah your right about the adjusting. I have 4 of the X5's and absolutely love them. Just hard to reach the hangers in the back. But if that's the worst part it's a no brainer. ChilLed 🤘

I know everyone has gone to 5K/3K/660 mix for efficiency, but the old chil 226 4 channel boards are magic. If they had managed to make a linear strip equivalent they would be unsurpassed. No doubt these are great compared to what most are used to.

Yea two of the minis would be plenty I think. Look into lower wattage UV and red bars if you want to add more light beyond this IMO.

100% agree to shared lighting, have used it for years. I suggest and highly recommend just using the small 8-10 watt led grow bulbs sold almost everywhere. They can get those hard spots at little cost. I use them to add extra UV and IR. A solid led with 4 8watts bulbs in each corner pointing into center can really do work in a 3x3

Might as well put sum in the canopy maybe just sum Orange red, or yellow for a boost after you let them stretch first. I heard early light shifting can cause way too much stretch and not many flower sites. Ive flower the same plant under metal halide and hps but I prefer the metal halide with led end spectrum boost

Always love your vids.. I'm wondering though, are these lights compatible with the control unit designed when Growmau5 was there? I own their 2x2 DIY kit, got the control unit and have nothing to connect it to to control multiple lights...so I use a $5 dimmer switch while my $150 investment sits in a box doing nothing.... Also, itd be a great addition to your vid to add the difference in temp within your tent. Would be useful info for myself as I am a stealth grower in a 2x3x5 supercloset grower and temps mess me up in an apartment with floorboard heating that totally f#cks with me.

Thanks. I would contact chilled and ask them I'm not sure. I never tested that model. Temps are relative to the amount of ventilation you have and the temps outside your tent. It has very little to do with the light because they're all going to be similar wattage for that space. I use an active intake and exhaust that keeps my temps 78-82 pretty much all the time as long as I cool the room my tent is in to 70.

​@Cody Monko remo uses the AELIUS REDD I think, they say it`s 2.62 μmol/J efficiency which is pretty good, but the spectrum is not the best, its like 60% red,20% blue and the rest green yellow with big spikes at 300nm (blue) &680nm (red)+a bit far red (no UVa/Uvb), only good for flowering if you ask me.

Not a big fan of the TS series. I prefer the sp series. I have tested the ts1000. They put out a lot of light for the money but thermal management is terrible so longevity is a question.
