How is going for three streets here with AT multiway??

Thanks for the video Bart. I wonder what you think of the bet sizing on the turn with the A10 hand? I feel that opponents holding any 10 with a reasonable kicker would pay quite a bit more than 150?

She would never get the chance if I was in the shredder I will be looking to get this all in right on the flop or on the turn at the latest.

Man I miss soft live games soooo much right now. This fucking online grinding is tough even at .25/.50 lol. All the grinders are online now shooting at each other and paying rake. Live 2/5 is like shooting fish in a barrel compared to online low stakes.

Really good episode I think, well explained and very clear. I would have bet KK, but admit I probably wouldn't have bet the A10, but definitely food for thought.
@arthurbekkerman4 жыл бұрын
A10 on the river is equal in strength to KK. Because your opponent shouldn't have JJ or QQ since he only flatted preflop. So if you are gonna bet KK, you should 100% bet A10.

How about a big overbet by Mahdi on the turn (instead of checking), say 1.5x or even a shove? Though I'd probably have c/raised the flop and 3-barrelled.

What check raise sizing would you go with if the straddle actually played it that way?

Great first hand. If I am QOFelt I usually check the turn in these spots so I do not get put to a stack decision by a hand like 6,7c when I may fold the best hand or feel I have to over commit with top,top. Also feel checking turn often sets up clear +EV river bets or good spots to induce a river bluff from missed draws.However, I have been told my biggest leak is checking turn after betting flop. Is this a good example where I should be betting top top on turn or is there also merit in often checking the turn? (when playing $1/2 and $2/5 live) Thx.

yeah the only hand Jay Lee can have that beats Doc by the river is quads. When players cold call 3bets its almost always pocket pairs, and calling the 4bet narrows him down to really just 99-JJ and sometimes QQ if they are passive.

Do you think recreational 1/2 NL (live) players bet flush draws a lot? When hand reading I'm often torn because some players are so passive that I have a difficult time deciding if they would take a stab w/ FD or if they'd just check/call, etc. Online is obviously quite different.

In the bigger rooms I wouldn't lump 1-2 players together because there are many types of players, but in +/- 30 min of playing and observing one can usually get a sense of the various players at the table. In my experience, 1-2 players are usually pretty consistent and extreme in their playing style, aka unbalanced.

3 streets is fine here with AT, but I'm bet folding the river; in live games the types of people that like to straddle in non-mandatory straddle games are the same people that are closing the action with 57 and calling down 3rd pair on the turn to small bets.

Very true. They are gambling and there’s usually one or two of them on every table. Pretty wide and they bink 2 pair on the river. There’s a player at my home casino that gambles a lot of goofy hands like J2, T7, and will call wide. Plays their premium hands straight up, so I know I can fold. This player has binked their fair share of river 2 cards playing a wide range for cheap.

At first I thought so but the price would be too good. Especially Like he said if you made a smaller blockish looking size to give yourself enough room to bet\fold then you'd have to call anyway cause you underrepped lol

Hey Bart - great stuff as always On the 2nd hand when Kk Opens $20, and AQ 3! To $55, and then TT makes it 145$, since the open is 4x to $20 and the 3b is 3.5x to $55, isn’t it a $30 raise, raising to $145 is a $90 raise it 3x (3*30), not a click back? Or maybe I misunderstand what you’re saying He is OOP and there was a call so I agree make it bigger esp in Texas where they call everything anyway so I’d def go bigger but seemed he didn’t go 3x which is what you recommended?
@spoder224 жыл бұрын
TT did not 4bet. They just called in between.
@Samscoinsandheavymetal4 жыл бұрын
spoder4k youre right he called 3 then 4. My bad The concepts the same Re the sizing 20 to 55 to 145 is 4x (5 to 20, 5*4), and 3x (35*3=105+35 is 140, it’s actually just over 3x). The point was the 3rd raise wasn’t min and was as recommended - at least 3x

Hate to be sexist but I've never seen a guy spaz out after winning a fuckin poker hand. She can't even use the excuse "I'm just a new player having fun!" Cause her name is Queen of the Felt lmfao. Not to sound snobby either but that hand was the most obvious thin value you can get. Beginner level example no combinatorics needed

Lol I was explaining to my friend how in real life bart (or anyone good) wouldn't even be doing all these combinatorics because: this is the most obvious river bet. If you're not betting here, even after bart spends 3 minutes DOING THE COMBINATORICS FOR YOU, you will never be a winning player at any stake
