It's a sports game by Tecmo on the NES...OF course it's good. Many hours on this one. Never bought it or got it I should say. But it was rented more than a few times in our house.

Fun fact, if you don't already know: All of the wrestlers in the game are partially based on real wrestlers, and they just have different name, appearances and in some cases, some moves. Dr. Guildo's mask is based on Vader's mask, but sadly beyond that and a similar nationality, that's about all that's similar.

@IIIGiantbomb website write all referances, BTW even one song in game sounds similar to Tiger Mask anime opening, it make sense as El Tigre are fictional counterpart of Tiger Mask.

I rented this multiple times over the course of a few months. From Putt-Putt Golf and Games, Video Scene, and yes, even 7-11. As dumb as I was, between the late fees and rental fees, I reckon I spent enough to have actually purchased it twice. Which I would eventually do. I loved the moves, as this was the most authentic pro wrestling game I had played to date. The other was WCW Championship Wrestling, which was no where as good as this was, IMHO.

Awesome representation there. One thing for sure I can say, having both been a customer and a manager of Blockbuster Video all those years ago, I hated working for them. Good deals at times, but when you had to push candy and sodas with every rental, after awhile, I felt like quitting. WOW, what a difference.

Blue King, incidentally, doesn't have the Back Brain Kick, but he does have all the rest. (He can only do some when at low health, like normal characters). His moveset is very different from the normally-playable wrestlers, including having all three different ground attacks (Figure-4, Scorpion Deathlock, Giant Swing) but lacking the common moves the other characters have (no knee lift, headlock, or stomping, except outside the ring)
