It turned out beautiful … it’s hard to find someone who has mastered the craft and can properly wrap long hair and not have breakage at the scalp or fish hooks at the ends. I have long hair but find it difficult to locate someone with the proper skill level to perm my hair and not end up with breakage.

Omgoodness i cannot describe how jealous I am seeing these beautiful results 🙈 I'm in Melbourne, Australia and the majority of hairdressers don't know how to perm hair, allegedly it's "not part of the education framework" anymore. The older stylists that do know how to perm laugh at me when I enquire and refuse to perm my hair, usually accompanied by reasons like "your hair is coloured/ your hair is nearly down to your bum it won't hold a curl"... I'll be saving your video for my next attempt! You've done a fantastic job her hair looks epic ❤

My hair isn’t quite that long it’s to the middle of my back. I’m finding here in the states depending on the location that schooling is not near what it was when I was in cosmetology school. If you live in the states find someone in their 50’s that has a small business that has been doing them for years, they are very good because they did so many in the 80’s every salon back then was doing them and had specials posted in front of their salons. Most are still really quick and good at it.. the good ones will make you comfortable and put you to sleep!
