I love this game!!!! I bought it !!! look through your plant containers, and find ones that put out 360 or 500 oxygen. If you have the T3 Vege-tubes they go outside. that starts to push oxygen into the atmosphere. I also place the wind turbine. only takes 1 iron. I make little bunk places using more than one pod when I am in the areas to loot from a crashed spaceship. Gives me more time to loot. One of the crashed ships I was able to breakdown the T2 heaters. Makes more of them, and add it to your little living pods. Once you get the blue sky, it will start to rain.

Yeah I'm dying for some of the 3s and 4s once you get outside machines the whole game opens up! Oh I'm an idiot so I'll have the rain collector guaranteed by the time the ice melts ugh lol

You still have LIRMA seeds in some of your Vegetubes... You need to check the cave to the North... When I find a chest that I can't properly loot, I place a windmill next to it. Easily seen and only costs a single Iron. T2 Exoskeleton was in the v0.7 release, and I think it was in 0.6, too.

Oh man is it that old? Lol I remember when there was only the exoskeleton. Yeah that cave is calling my name but for some reason I assumed it would be heat blocked.

I had no doubt you’d get to self-sufficiency! None. “I’m actually starting to get good at this game” lol, sorry to break it to you but you’ve been good at it for quite some time now. Yeah, the snow biome caves got me turned around still. I’ll only attempt them when I get breathable atmosphere but you do you! Loved laughing and learning! Great episode! Well explained too! Great audio too! Hope it wasn’t annoying to get it where it needed to be!!

Haha you're too kind! It's a cave I don't know my curiosity is piqued! Oh thank you so much mic audio is always my biggest thing on my mind lol so glad it's better! No actually it was like 20 min of trial and error with a few people. Thank you so much!

Nice job. I had to give you the business a little bit about the cliffhanger... Come on now.... Just kidding around.... Are we still so far away from ore extractors??? I didn't see them on the screens.... Beacons: good point. If you don't wanna go crazy on beacons though, the T2 Solar has a mast, with a blinky red light on top... You can see that from a distance... If you build a habitat box, and drop the T2 Solar on top, it puts the light pretty high, which is good... So if you tend to get lost, those are good... And it's kinda like "Hey, the oxygen is over HERE..." type of thing, which can relieve the anxiety.... I'm kinda thinking about another playthrough.... My old ultra megabase was out by the Stargate, and it ended up inside those rocks on the last "remodel" of the environment out there.... Which was very sad.... That caused depression like symptoms for a few days, not gonna lie.... But I digress, sorry. My POINT is, I've been giving a lot of thought to "where should I build my ultra mega base, in a new playthrough..... So for no good reason except a few laughs, this is what I'm thinking.... #1 the traditional shores of the traditional starting lake. It's hard to argue with. It's a decent reasonably centrally located spot.... #2 out in front of the Super Alloy Cave. Not a bad spot either. You need water though, for the algae, and water by products that are needed.... A Lake is very helpful.... #3 is a tie, either the grand canyon valley... I can envision a very creative & artsy base down there, but that isn't really lake water like I'd like, or 3B, the NEAR side of the stargate lake.... Anyways, this is a great start. Very nice job. I've done multiple playthroughs, I love this game... But I would be lying if I said I ever got to food without dying.... It's hard. You barely made it, but you did make it....

Lol I thought I was being cute haha! Yeah I had a feeling I'd get mixed reactions on that. Actually getting to sustainable food wasn't my hardest in this one the hardest was my hardcore crater start. That playthrough was the most frantic start I've ever had to this game lol. Ya know it's funny I always just seem to build wherever I land and I adjust my play style to my starting location, like today I whined and cried about how far aluminum was haha.

@@7CGames Yeah well, that Hardcore Crater start was crazy..... Now, if you are exploring masochism, and you enjoy pain & humiliation, hey, yeah, Hardcore Crater may be for you... And I'm not judging, let's be clear... Maybe you're into that... Which is great... This playthrough feels plenty hard, but do-able.... It feels like the food is growing slower??? Not sure though... And that could be your edit, so I hate to even say that out loud....

I have never run out of ice chunks before unlocking the water collector. Not sure it is even possible even with heat only Ti generation. I would recommend a trip to the crater to get all the iridium rods that are in the center. This way you can have rods for building a few more T3 heaters and rockets when they unlock.

Oh man a crater run is a way good idea lol I lived there on an even harder lvl than this and totally forgot! Yeah someone else said blue sky causes rain so I can't be without ice and without rain mega facepalm there haha

@7CGames Rain happens when you unlock the collector at 875kTi, way after Blue Sky. And even after the first rain ice stays for a bit longer. I usually collect a locker or two after I get a water collector going just to have lots of water to make bacteria and other water intensive items later in the game.

Okay... You're a bad influence.... I started a new playthrough..... I DID make it to food without dying.... I think I picked up a lot from your videos.... I needed to stop focusing on Power, and focus on food..... And I did that... I actually haven't died at all yet, which is a first.... Not gonna lie, I hit the door with a black screen twice... but I didn't die... It is really really REALLY hard to adjust back, from breathable atmosphere, to a super small tank.... Upgrading those tanks is a must... I'm kinda used to wandering around outside, kind of focusing on the task at hand.... No no no no no... You need to have one eye on that meter at all times..... Uhh, this was on Normal, by the way... I'm not a masochist.... I play for fun... I want to feel some success..... For pain & humiliation, I have a job, so that's fine.... I will say, no matter what you focus on, this game has a real knack of making you feel :out of balance" or "out of order", with what you are unlocking.... I also was NOT prepared for needing osmium to build the Ore Extractor.... Uhhh, how the f&*k am I supposed to get osmium???? Ugh. French people.... Uhhh, if you're French Canadian, my apologies.... this is playthrough #4, but the 3rd was the best one... and that happened as development occurred, so.... they changed that AFTER I had lots of extractors, and it didn't matter.... Being on THIS end of it.... I do NOT appreciate that.... and now I have other unlocks that I can't build... I need osmium to build the lab... I'm stuck. there needs to be a TV in this game, so I can sit & watch TV, while I wait for the ice to melt, so I can get into the osmium cave..... I told myself I wasn't going to end up with 500 T2 solar panels again... But g&* da&*it, if I'm not building T2 solars like a madman... A T1 Uranium reactor is like 4 T2 solars... Feels cheaper & easier to just build T2 solars.... I don't have access to an endless supply of uranium... I don't have access to ANY supply of uranium, quite honestly, I have to launch rockets..... Plus it takes Super Alloy, which I can't mine yet.... Anyways, the points I wanted to make... the difficulty, I feel, is in what you find in the boxes.... And the wrecks... I found piles of food in the wrecks & boxes, compared to your very meager findings.... the food growers are the same speed as yours, so, I feel that's the same, across difficulties.... I think I made a comment about the speed of the food growers, but I think I was talking out of my butt... I was wrong.... Mine are the same as yours... Kinda slow. Maybe I was spoiled by Tier 2 food growers from my previous playthrough..... This game really has a knack for making you feel out of order though..... I know, you're fighting for your life in your playthrough.... but even on normal... I'm sitting here, I've unlocked the lab, I've unlocked the flower spreader... I can't make them.... I'm stuck... I literally need to sit, eat beans, drink water, and wait.... I will also say, you really need to go do the wrecks, no matter what... You find a rocket engine?? That just saved you 9 iridiums and 2 uraniums.... That's huge... Even on normal, that's big. That stuff doesn't come for free..... That's a big find, a rocket engine on a shelf.... Anyways, great job on your series, I hope to see more of it....

Haha yes! You can do it man that's what this series is all about! Oh wow thank you so much that really does mean a lot to me! Yeah you always forget just how rough O2 is at the start, and the harder the difficulty the harder the O2. I feel like any time you're "out of balance" you can always just drop a bigger machine to correct it. I was ignoring pressure because those unlocks were later down the road but food was NOW. Extractors are a later game thing too I'd say, even T1, but once your ice is melting there's several easy places, depending on where you dropped in, that you can mine it right off the floor. It's ALWAYS more cost efficient to build the better version. A lvl 2 drill might be twice the cost (materials and power) as a lvl 1 but it'll make like 5x the pressure. For generators it might be twice the materials for nuclear as a solar but it'll produce SO much more. Don't sweat the extractors. If you need something you can't mine/extract just go to where it exists and pick it off the floor. It'll bridge the gap till you can get it out of the ground. Thanks a ton man plenty more to come!
