I can not imagine a soul that would not celebrate Grandad. It strikes me that he was a trooper with both honour and integrity. The family must feel so blessed. He struck me as a man with a big heart and a sparkle in his eyes, not only a Jay whisperer but a wise life whisperer too. Doing the right thing is sadly lacking in these times and he clearly had a great sense of duty and love of life. I did wonder if he'd ever see Kermit finish and he will be missed by all writing here I'm sure. Grandad seeing you and Katie together one can't help to think that his work was now done and he can rest in peace as I'm sure he did in life. Sorry for your loss and see you later.

My Nan has vascular dementia and my mum looked after her 24/7 for 6 years. Caring for someone day and night for years takes real love and determination. Your grandad managing for 13 years is a massive testament to his resilience, his love for your gran and his spirit! An incredibly touching tribute to him. He would be proud!

What a fantastic video for a fantastic man. I never knew either of my granddads, they both died before I was born, one grandma died when I was 2, the other when I was just about 7. My father's dad was a real character apparently. In the 1930's he used to sell matches and trinkets from a tray pretending he was blind. He , for reasons known to himself, whenever a certain set of relatives whom he disliked came round to visit, he would hang a kipper in the front window. And he proudly nurtured a talent of being able to fart on every stair ! I like to think of him as a man with a bohemian flair.

Greetings from North Yorkshire. The moors are a special place to visit when you want to clear away negative thoughts and be close to pure nature. Few of us will have such a tribute paid and this is much better than the funeral ritual. A very moving tribute to your grandparents and grandad is immortalised on video. We should appreciate our elders while they are alive, and you did. Enjoy the moors, which are close to where I live and frequently visited. Thanks for another valuable video. .

Hello 👋. Max , Katie . Beautiful tribute, and sentiment ! Just lost me old Ma . Dad looked after her like a saint over the last years , even moving over to Kent to accept help from my sister and nieces. Maybe Grandad was hedging his bets with a bit of religion, I’ve asked for no more than the Lord’s Prayer and a direct funeral, just in case I’m wrong and we do need to answer to a higher being! 😉 I hope their is someone caring enough to launch me overlooking the A 303 , Mere castle with me husband when the time comes! All those times I slogged up there in a foden , a scania , or roared up there on a gixer thou ! 😇😜 RIP Grandad and Nan x
