On a more serious note, I should have probably still tried to kill isolated units with the death squad and keep kiting away with the main body. However, I was afraid of spirit leeches on the paladins and fate of bjunas on the pegasus knights.

That air assassination of two boar boys by TPP was pretty fantastic to watch and an excellent usage of Brettonia's few strengths. Still not enough to make up for Brettonia's crap roster tho. Fun game, TPP had a rough match-up here.

For competitive battles you should be as zoomed out as possible because its hard to comprehend whats happening on the battlefield when youre focusing on one unit when theres so much more going on. When i watch youre videos im more interested in seeing the battlefield layout not so much in seeing the individual units fighting

It looks like a hero unit, based on how it's alone. Obviously the best play would be magic missiles or spirit leech because they're better against single targets.

Melee specialist? Or caster? I would say it's got magic resistance though

I think it's a melee specialist like kholek, judging by it's large size. It also seems to be super slow, because it's moving so slowly it looks like it hasn't moved throughout the whole game so it's gotta have insane resistance to make up for that.

I don't bother with a full Bretonnian death squad any more, most people have cottoned on to that tactic now and the Pegasus knights just melt to direct damage spells.

Yeah, but how else are you going to win with Bretonnia? Also, you need air superiority otherwise you're screwed, Pegasus Knights help with that. You can see my battle vs Gladius on Help TW's channel, Bretonnia vs VC.

ThePrussianPrince Not a criticism at all, I wish I was as good as you. I just don't do it any more, have gone more for peasant army hold them in place spears Paladins for moral and bow them to death, it has worked well for me but I am not in your league.

the orc player just countered him, if you use your faction in the most common way this happens. brettonia was well known for this klord killer squad, and they got kinda countered. Also he mentally broke i guess, he did a great job at the beggining against those 2 big boar boyz big unz but he dropped the ball after, he should have initiated the chrage with his main army to keep the orc infantry busy while he kills every unit 1 at a timewith rear charges from his killer squad. fate of bjuna and spirit leech is a concern but you are able to do enough damage before this spells actually kill your unit, thats why he needed to engage with his army, to distract the enemy and maybe buy more time for his squad to kill selected key units. azhag cannot get rid of the pegasus knights the 2 paladins and the king, the winds of magic would be depleted after 3 spells and the recharge rate is supper slow when you use your magic too quick.

Don't understand why people play brettonia its a cool faction and all but its so bare bones in its roster selection.

For flavor. They're the next playable FLC faction given what we've seen. They're missing some units like pilgrims and such.
