At last, a review that gets straight to the point without all the waffle. Thanks for that. I will have another go. The first time I tried it kept saying connection error no matter how much I pushed the connector into the socket on my Volvo V70 D5 2008. The birds sound make me very homesick for Oz where our son lives. We NEED to go back soon. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the good video on the scan tool , I am a retired mechanic always looking for tools/toys like this and with the realistic price to play with , like all scan tools you can only get the data that is available it does not matter who's scan tool you have (Snap-on , Karmen , OTC , ) have used all of these and this MS509 appears to be the same , I have been researching the AL519 looks the same as MS509 but has colour screen . No, it doesn't clear the current freeze frame stored in the EMU, it clears the data currently stored in the device from the previous scan. You're welcome.

I just bought Autel MS609 which is pretty much the same device than MS509 and tried to read abs trouble codes from my honda accord 2002. Connected it to the DLC port because abs codes didn't come out from normal OBD2 port. The abs light is on but the device said that it doesn't have any trouble codes. Then i tried to reset the trouble codes and it said that it was done succesfully but the abs light is still on. Where the problem is? Is it in machine or what?

I brought the scanner for Tmart online. I can't be sure that it will work, but I didn't know if the scanner would work on my car either.

I'm not sure if the MS609 will work with the DLC port. The MS509 is a simple device that is limited

when i bought the ms609 the dealer said that it would read abs and srs trouble codes from honda but it didn't.. It went to the dlc port fine but it just didn't find anything.

Is this tool good for 96 camry, keep having egr code and I've replaced all parts of egr only thing left is possible hoses or maybe the the slight crack in my air intake is what's possibly giving me that code but yea tired of going to autozone...,

Hi Michael, I bought a Honda Civic 2001 model in Melbourne. But i realize that when i drive the car it takes a bit more time to change the gear while comparing with other automatic cars. Can you please tell me what would be the reason for this? to change the gear i have race the car a bit more.I would be really really glad if you can help me with this. Thanks/

Hi, it sounds like the transmission might need adjusting. If changing the auto transmission fluid does nothing take it to a mechanic.

The birds aren't that loud, the camera mic makes it sound louder. It is nice to have the birds in the background

Kevin, the scanner can clear stored codes which should turn off your engine light but if there was a problem with your engine the light would come back on. Regards michael
