I'm more of a pencil nerd but writing on paper either in pen or pencil is so much more satisfying than electronic tools. It's part of my thought process in some ways as I sketch/write/doodle ideas for everything even as simple as a shopping list. BTW that Kiser is sweet. I love everything they make.

Love putting pen to paper. As you said, there is just something about it that can't be replicated or replaced. Cheers for the video, sir!

As someone who is retired from Media work I use and used all forms of writing, pen and paper, tablets, my phone, and for a very short while a voice recorder. These days I stick with old favorites G2 and Fisher pens and Moleskine notebooks and sometimes my phone, for things like reminders and shopping lists. Just for fun my EDC knife-tool of choice is a Victorinox EvoGrip 14 I have had for years and just started carrying as my daily knife I added a Key Smart Nano clip and that was to use a term a game changer for me, LOL I got the idea from watching the Jon Gadget Channel. The Nano clip keeps it out of of the way in the pocket but makes it very easy to get to my knife.

I write with some disposable fountain pens, my Lamy Safari fountain pen, and I do it every day. Especially in my common place journal. I take notes in a couple different notebooks depending on what topics. I will use a different pen for different reasons and it's just another thing that helps get me in the right mindset.

I’m 63 yrs. & I’ve tried several front flipper knives . And unfortunately my arthritic hands can’t work them very well. Now if they made some of these knives with a stud or flipper tab I’d probably be in..

Great vid! Love the multi-product reviews. It would be useful to say the price of each knife as you review it.

I love a fountain pen. I’ve a few and this looks like a really nicely made one. Gonna have a look into! Fountain pens are just a pleasure to write with. Are they the most convenient? No. Most practical? No. But that pleasure is impossible to quantify.

I still like a fountain pen, but I have to say I use the disposable Pilot varsity and have been happy with them

I've had the small Peacemaker for years now, and it's a great knife. The sheath has problems. It was originally marketed as a boot knife, but the 2 ears that lock the knife into the sheath have to open up to release the knife. If it's confined, like in a boot or a pocket, they can't open, so they won't release the knife, and the knife comes out of your boot still in the sheath. I had to file the ears down quite a bit to get it to work nicely.

I think that denim knife roll is what they included with all their Denim series knives. The Justice in blue denim micarta, the Comet in red denim micarta, the Feist in blue, etc. I wish they had done the same thing with the Serape series. A Mexican blanket looking knife roll would be seriously sweet. Instead they included a serape bead. I love the look of the purple fat carbon. My personal concern with the Milltaw is the location of the cutout. It looks too far back to be good for my index finger, and if I used it on my middle finger, I'd worry about my index finger getting too close to the blade. I wear size 12 (XXL) gloves, so it's probably not a concern for most people, though. Shoutout to Germans for putting numbers to glove sizes. So much better than letters. Anyway - my problem with Ruike knives is how slowly they change. It feels almost like a zombie brand. I think the only new thing they've done in the past 3 years is move some of their 14C28N designs down to 8CR13MoV. I'd love to be wrong about that, but that's been what I've seen.

I love my Purple Haze Militaw but I wish they would have used the S90V in DLC on it instead of the Chili pepper. Great video bro!

Great video - The Ant Designs, I could see myself owning both versions in brass or titanium and maybe even purchasing the leather pouch w/ keyring for an additional 5 bucks for the Alpha version. My question is are they TSA compliant? I've seen a couple of reviews on the Peacemakers, and they have been on my radar - all the reviews I have seen have been positive - design, price, and sheath

Have you thought about trying out a Neo Smartpen which gives you the best analog to digital experience.

What's the exact name of the Alti clip that you had and that Cold Steel blades pretty nice? I got the three and I like it.

That Militaw looks amazing. S45 isn't as exciting as S90, but if it is treated right it should still be a pretty good value.

But if it was in S90V that would be a no-brainer.

Question for you Dom: I've been looking at the 2024 Drop Bear with the s45vn blade. They have a 2023 version with a s45vn blade - but I like the color a lot more. What would you recommend?

The purple militaw really is so cool; I wish it was a knife people could actually buy, instead of one being made in like 30 unit batches lol

Man! I really need to find a way to earn some more bucks! Especially the Kizer folders make me feel greedy. Even though I have some really nice budget knives. And the fountain pen looks great as well. I've got a brass traveller pen by Traveller's Company as edc. Tiny in the pocket, but with the cap posted a really enjoyable writer. The ease of having pen and paper on you is for one that you can leave a note behind for someone or hand them the note with some information which is easy to forget. Same goes with info for yourself to remind you of something. Don't ask me how I know. 😉

I carry in my keyring a Spyderco Ladybug in K390 steel. Please, don´t compare it witht he Pathfinder! I don't need any bottle opener today when all kind of beers and sodas are in cans, either a mini, mini useless prybar. I do carry a Fenix EO2R for the same reason: because I use and need it often.
