I literally put my day on hold when I saw this video. I am actually very excited about this tool, because it fills a role that seems to be lacking in Leatherman’s lineup: a light duty, comfortable (thinking of you, Skeletool), slim, lightweight, pocketable multi tool that is bit-adapter compatible. I am totally fine with trading locking implements for comfort. I also like the nod to the PST. And if this thing has a street price of $40?? Sign me up.
@BodomFox3 жыл бұрын
Cool nod to PST. I think this design is very close for Tim Leatherman himself, and I expected them to make something like this at some point. Good for someone who always wanted a PST but didn't want to buy a used one from someone's collection for crazy price.

I for one am way more happy with this tool than the free series! I am happy that they are giving a more affordable tool without sacrificing on quality. Also, this could be a decent source for replacement parts for older tools as it is more affordable. Here's hoping it comes in BO!

You have just helped Leatherman sell a tool. Thank you. It looks great! I am also much more excited than I thought I would be. Comfort is important to me, and that looks very comfortable. The bond is simple,basic,and clean..and can do it's working purpose.
@michaelkulman70955 ай бұрын
As far as UK friendly tools I have some comments as many look at the Bond for this reason. Besides the Bond consider: In the UK a blade-less multitool seems like it would be appealing. I mean a bunch of locking tools and you can just carry any non- locking knife you like maybe a SAK Compact if your tool doesn't have scissors for example or a SAK Walker if your multitool doesn't have a saw, or a SAK Waiter so you can open a beer or bottle of wine without getting a bigger tool out... There is still a tool-less Rebar and there used to be a tool-less Fuse or get a SOG and just remove the knife, replace it with something else if you wish as they sell individual impliments. If you could find a Leatherman Leap it allows you to remove the knife and is lightweight... Also there was a Leatherman Kick that had no locking blades including the knife and some (few) had pocket clips (sold separately). It just had screwdrivers, a knife and of course and plier head but it was light. Speaking of old tools if one could find a PST, PST 2, Sideclip, or even a Gerber MPT (copy of PST) they'd all work in the UK I believe. So I hope I gave you some UK friendly ideas to ponder...

@@Eric_Smith2662 My country bans locking blades--technically. But the police don't care about multitools, or any sensible use by hikers or campers or craftsmen. Knives stay in the rucksack until you arrive in nature. Basically, if you do not use it like a weapon, or carry fantasy commando toys in public, no one will bother you. Knives are very poor defensive weapons in untrained hands. Contrary to popular myth, they are not better than nothing. Untrained knife deployers are often disarmed and stabbed with their own knives. That said, knife attack is 99% outside infiltrators wielding mamma's kitchen knife. For utility, heavy duty box cutters are vastly superior to pseudo-tactical folders. America accepts much more internal violence than we do. Knives are just not a big deal. Tools. Important, yes, but just tools. Americans hardly benefit from weapons-toting permissiveness.
