I’ve been to Emirates (and several other countries in the region) several times and fell in love with it-may move there in the future. The last time I was there, we went to Oman (Salalah) and it took my mentality to another level; we went during the Kharif (monsoon). And 💯 you can get to anywhere in the region within 2 to 6 hours. Azerbaijan is also a best kept secret, but plan ahead and if you need a connect for real estate in Baku, let me know. Ethiopia is also 6 hours away-another place you may want to invest in before in sky rockets even more. Dress code can be stricter in Abu Dhabi and Other Emirates. If I can lend any advice, please let me.

Congrats Max, great video. We had a similar experience to yours while moving our ecom brand from the US to Dubai. Initially we had to pay more than we did back in the US but you pay ZERO taxes afterwards. You basically save 40-50% on profits every month! According to our experience, the initial business setup in the UAE was extremely confusing. There are a lot options, detail and paperwork. In that respect we partnered with an agency and they almost automated the process. Would recommend the others do the same

Not sure if this is related, but we are considering moving our digital agency to Dubai in the next few months. However, as you mentioned the process seems to be very complex and we are not sure whose help we should get. Could you possibly tell me who you worked with to get assistance in the setup process?

But don't you still have to pay tax as an American citizen on worldwide income? I know you can deduct up to I think it's like $120k a year in foreign income anything over that amount your taxed based on normal American tax laws.

Many of the reasons you mentioned is why I bought a place in the Algarves. That's the biggest reason I plan to move - Dubai is a city that is growing and looking forward to the future and not resting on the laurels of it's past. As a native New Yorker, that is really important to me as I feel like NYC is an uninspired sinking ship of cultural homogeneity and Disneyfication, resting on its laurels. That was not the vision of NYC that I grew up with. The problem is that there is nowhere else in America that rivals or tops NYC when it comes to culture, business, opportunity etc. Trust me I've tried🥴😩. when I visited Dubai I didnt expect to like it. I heard all the rumors that it was Vegas of the Middle East. But what I encountered was a vibrant, forward-thinking, growth-minded, business minded ethnically diverse city. It's a great place for entrepreneurs like myself looking to BUILD SOMETHING NEW. The Diversity is also a plus because as a Nigerian American, it feels closer to "home" than America could ever feel. It's the best of both worlds - Old World culture but First World urban infrastructure, lifestyle and business/economic opportunity and stability. Also as a single woman, I can say it's very safe. So that eliminates yet another concern many of us ladies may have had.

I am also constantly seeing negative KZbin videos about Dubai, most of which I know first hand to be false, yet people choose to believe them. Keep putting the real out there Mr. Maxwell, just not too much because once everyone knows the truth, then they will all try to get there. Although I myself have been to Dubai over fifty times, I have not been back since 2015. Hopefully I will soon make the move there permanently, In Shaa Allah! first time watching this channel, good stuff. the main thing I don't like about the Mid-East is that it's borderline impossible to attain citizenship for someone who doesn't have at least one parent who is of Saudi/Emirati descent. Might not be super important to everyone, but it's one thing that is really attractive to foreigners around the world who want to come to America. Makes it hard to "feel" like you belong to that country and say that you're an Emirati, since you'll never be recognized as them I do agree that it has a LOT of positives. Super low crime rate, forward thinking, relatively traditional values, multi-cultural, advanced infrastructure, great location with relatively quick access to major countries and other popular destination countries, low homelessness, great food, etc

And u can't get uae passport unless you meet very specific requirements and are nominated by a local who is in a influential position.

The people are extremely nice, and most are simply immigrants trying to make a better life. \Main negative is that you can’t get citizenship no matter what. A lot of the reasons Dubai is so nice is cause they can deport you on the fly for any reason. Great place but seriously, do not get in trouble there. Be mindful that if you are a US citizen, you are still required to file & pay US taxes. I've lived in 6 different countries and I've filed in each one.

Hey Max..thank you, watching from Tokyo. Yes, we are also thinking to set up a small business in Dubai. This video helps us and surely many others to understand and insight into Dubai

What a great video on Dubai! Thank you for sharing Max!! My question is this. Here in the US, many uneducated people would argue we need to pay taxes to keep our government running, and to pay them. (I am NOT one of those people!!) How does the government and other civil servants earn their money? Who pays the government? And what is it like for a non Muslim family, namely, females? I might entertain the idea of moving when my kid gets into high school.

Subscribed. Dubai is a place we are thinking of visiting next year. I;ve been there multiple times and i want to take my wife there for a vacation. Leaving there is very attractive and glad i found your video. Thank you Max.

I am sooooo over the US. Even as a vet I am just done with it! I am coming over in June for business and would move to a different country in a heartbeat. Just spent a year in hawaii and am now back in cali. Our government is so greedy and wastefull and just unaccountable with our money!!!

Do you have to be a citizen to purchase property and are there nice neighborhoods with affordable rent?
@MaxMaxwellYT Жыл бұрын
No, you do not have to be a citizen to buy property. And yes, there are very affordable areas that you can live in just like any developed city or country.

Alhamdulillah, as a Muslim myself I would love to visit Dubai one day. Who knows I might move and live there one day. People say Dubai is hot 39 degrees. I have no problem with that because my country Malaysia is everyday summer. I hate cold weather, so Dubai is better for me. 😊 As a single person who knows I will found my Mrs Right there.

Dubai is a monarchy. Need I say more? Anyplace can be a nice place to be when you are in a new place. Stay there for a few years to get a feel for how the locals feel about your presence there. Dubai needs skilled people there to grow their economy. Remember that!
@Ghostintthemachine Жыл бұрын
EXACTLY! It’s not hard to make a place that has been around not even 100 years look amazing! The monarchy starves the locals and is creating smoke and mirrors. Dubai is currently in over $100bn worth of debt and that debt is only growing. Tourism isn’t going to get them out of debt either. When the world comes off this oil addiction, it’s goodnight.

That’s what United States did when they started, now it’s the falling west. If all the rich people leave so do their business and the jobs. Economy 101 lmao USA have 10 more years till all the companies start to leave to different countries.

Dubai is such a trap because it looks so perfect from the outside looking in. All the best for you and your family.

Can you expand on this? I lived there for a couple months and know about the good and the bad. No place is perfect but interested in your perspective
@missfavoured Жыл бұрын
@@TmarieIbrahim I’ve never lived in Dubai but gather information to check the opportunities. At first, all content I received let Dubai look like “Heaven on earth” until someone showed the other side of the beautiful Dubai. This is what I meant by saying it,“is such a trap”. Naively, I thought, it was all beautiful and would’ve moved to Dubai with that thought.

With taxes, you still owe the IRS no matter where you are in the world as a US citizen. The only way to avoid American taxes is to give up your US citizenship unfortunately.

Us citizens have to report and pay taxes on everything above roughly 100k. So moving to Dubai doesn’t save you much unless that’s all you make
