Vietnamese cuisine in Australia , like Italian cuisine in Australia is old school cooking and recipes. It’s not really influenced by new modern trends, it’s just locked in time from when they got here.

@@alde1611 that's because those vietnamese food are sold in a vietnamese community with the first generation still around. If you have vietnamese food outside the vietnamese community, there's alot fusion confusion. Have you tried red lantern? Just FYI, if your scissors have a brass bolt/rivet joint then they aren't being washed in a dishwasher [at sterilization temp] and hand-washing can't clean between the blades at the joint. Keep that in mind. Dishwasher detergent isn't compatible with brass, copper, nickel or aluminium, it'll erode them all.

So glad you made it to Australia brother, as much as i like the food from Cabramatta, the food in vietnam still slaps not only because of the prices but i found the food here in Australia are made kinda different in a way, eg the banh mi bread isnt as nice as the ones you get in vietnam though the filling is pretty awesome
@joshf-w96024 ай бұрын
In Vietnam a lot of places only trade for like one or two meal periods, eg breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night, it helps ensure freshness and vendors typically trade until the sell out. In Australia it’s a different business model, places have set trading times and the entire menu is expected to be available at all times with some exceptions but generally they’re doing much bigger batches and holding the food for a lot longer.
@damiann47344 ай бұрын
@@hisnameisvu I agree that the banh mi bread isn't the same but if you had it in a good banh mi place which fresh bread all the time such as marickville pork roll, how is it compared to Vietnam? But other than the bread, I would expect Pho in Australia is much better. Better beef = better broth, rice noodles you can get it freshly made.

When i want comfort food. I come back here, relive the times grocery shopping (seafood markets/ butchery) and buying vietnamese snacks as i shopped (like the green mango and spicy salt) or a good banh mi thit and eating good vietnamese food overall. Living here really spoilt my taste buds for vietnamese food, my expectations are really high when i go to other vietnamese restaurants in sydney to eat. I keep coming back here when i need to fullfill my cravings. 😂💯👌 and p.s i love that dong ba restaurant haha..i go there litterally just for bun bo hue so happy you got to try it there (it is where i cheated on Pho!

Bun Bo Hue is originally from Hue. Dong Ba is the name of a well-known market in Hue. Whether in Saigon or in foreign countries, the owner often is from Hue. Thus, they pick the name Dong Ba as the dish is from Hue. But it depends on the provinces, the owners marinate it to taste in that province’s favor. For example, Bun Bo Hue in Saigon is less salty than in Hue.
