That was great. Shows the progression of riding speedway. At some point you must choose to go over ‘that line’, then keep resetting that bar and going over it. But respectfully, having broken bone(s) myself, it’s harder when your past skill-level didn’t keep pace with the demands and it resulted in a physical injury. Still LOVE that feeling of the ‘cross-up’ as we call it here in the US, where the rear breaks free and you go into a controlled ‘powered-skid’ or slide! (or ‘drift’). Nothing like it! Like learning to ‘wheelie’… without the ‘endo’ or ‘losing it’.

Hi Mate...Great Stuff...My wife and I are visiting the UK in May 2020 and I'm actually going to do this with Russ...I live in Adelaide Australia and this is on my Bucket List so I cannot wait to get there...I must say you looked pretty good and I am just hoping that I can slide as well as you were...I really just want to get that one good photo where I'm coming out of the corner sideways...I'll be very happy with that...Thanks for the Video and again Well Done :)

Nice. Don’t think we even have a track here in the netherlands. I did try Some off road riding in a simular setting type like school day. As you said its all about confidence. I still prefer normal trackdays though. But your speedway action looked awesome. Great fun 👍🏻

I don't know who told you speedway is cheap but they are wrong, I have wanted to be a speedway rider since I was young (19 now) but have never been able to get into it because it is too expensive, I hedge been looking into an experience like this but like i say to actually get into and compete in speedway or grasstrack it is really not cheap, other then that good video

Oh that would b a great gift I would love to have done with you at the speedway, We do not have anything like that in my area in Northern Canada, But I did race moto cross from the starting age of 5 and then I raced pro up to about 20 then I raced the moto cross quads for about another 6 years longer, My 2 favorite quads to race was the 500cc quadzilla and the 350 Banshee, both are insane power and speeds, I loved racing the tracks an I also did a fair amount in cross country races which was a lot of fun but are pretty intense pounding to the body at 27 when I stopped pro racing my body was done and just could not keep up with the up an coming great younger riders which at 28 they could not believed that I raced pro until that age and was stil winning my fare share, Thanks for your video, Now a days I race large scale gas and nitro buggies and cars and do a afir amount of flying in the large scale radio controlled gas planes, I just built a gorgeous P51 mustang with a 40cc gas engine in it, What a great thing to fly and just a master peice to actually fly it and watch it flying, On that note the sport is quite contagious and gets real expensive fast when you get into the large scale but in my opinion worth every penny, I probably could sell everything I have into it and buy a few real off road stadium trucks to race lol that is how much money over he years I have been putting into the sport, But like I always say money does you no good just in your pocket and if you loe something then go out and do it and enjoy life, Life is way to short to say later on and say wish I could have done that, Bear L.

Hi mate, thanks for the comment. WOW u have done some awesome stuff! I have always been into machines, pretty much anything with wheels and an engine gets me going! tried mx a bit for leisure in my early 20's but i was crap and crashed too much! no good when u work for yourself like i do! mrs was not happy! always been a road motorcyclist, loved my race track days and a bit of knee down craziness ... thinking of trying a bit of enduro. doing a day here in the UK in march. thinking of possibly buying a bike,... agreed £$ not much use in your pocket! u got to have fun right!

Of course have to have fun that s a must, I was a business owner with my dad as well, I owned half of the company with him, I started logging when I was 14, I stopped after 31 years and mainly because my dad died, 8 years prior to that I broke my bake and am in a wheelchair for life but I still worked operating the machinery for 7 years, But RC I got into that when I was young think in my early 20,s, I do a lot of custom building not sure if you do also maybe we can do something together, Up in Canada pretty sure can get things done for cheaper then here you are, I am really into the large scale gas and nitro cars and truggys and so on, The most fun I had tho was getting this 1/5 scale snow-machine made by Light brite I beleive it is called that makes those toys, Thing had a great real rubber track and was made well out of high impact plastic, So decided to take my spare .21 nitro motor had laying around and built it into that, it worked awesome, then I decided to go dual .18 wasp nitro engines in it with a 2 speed tranny thing was insane could get 60 plus miles an hour plus easily and for at least 50 feet it would be up in the air with the front skis just dangling ting was crazy, I named it All show&And all Go. The amount of money I have invested in the rc cars planes and helis I could probably buy a real race truck and race it lol, but it is only money and have to have fun, Been looking for plans to build the large scale rc construction equipment but cannot seem to have any luck see a lot of KZbin videos with them but cant seem to get anywhere with any 1, Bear.

yes speedway is a great sport ,just to point out in the us its called speedway and flat track is different but does look the same kenny roberts never rode speedway, bruce penhall, sam ermalenko ,billy hamil and greg hancock were all world champions, other great riders like the the moran brothers and bobby swartz were internationals and did ride in world finals the us tracks are very small compared to europe and it can be hard for there riders to come to europe

it's not flat track mate. the bikes are totally different in both sports. As he said, 500cc, no brakes and methanol burning engines. But they do have 350cc and 125cc if you're not confident to go straight out on a 500.
