This course is has so much value in addressing all the little things I encountered and that kept me from finishing a rig I was 100% happy with over the past few years. Fantastic!

This has been undocumented in C4d for SO long... Just a few months ago I was digging for info and this is by far the best series out on this topic. Thank you so much. Seriously.

@@Joeherman No problem... I would love to see an episode on managing hierarchy and customizing the advanced biped rig in the character object -- stuff like best practices for adding custom bones / editing the advanced biped character object to fit something a little more tailored. Its definitely info that isn't really out there.

Thank you Joe. God bless you really. You too Elly. I hope to see more of Joe in the future. No hard feelings Elly. You are awesome too! I'm from Kenya and these schools around around here and quite expensive too for some of us. You have no idea how resourceful this is to everybody following, hopefully including Elly. LOL.

When you're talking about fixing the rig after animation, I think the question was related to moving bones and resetting the the pose.

This course is great and I learnt a lot, but there nothing worse than weighting by hand. Is that true that auto weighting never works at all?
@thelightsarebroken2 жыл бұрын
Loving this course, the pacing is perfect and its not condescending or infuriatingly rehearsed to depict that impossible sense of ease that a lot of tutorials portray. Iv always used rigging a little but often got to this 'elite' level of difficulty and gave up because of never getting a good grounding in the fundamentals, going through these classes has been great, its bridged a lot of gaps for me.

Thank you, glad to hear that the course is providing the proper grounding in rigging. Cheers!

thank you so much joe and elly... i consider myself so fortunate to be learning from guys like you. I am having a problem, in weight painting my mesh is not going black. I have sub div turned off and weight manager is open and object iss selected. The only way to turn my mesh black is to activate the Weight Tool. but in the video you were able to see the black mesh without activating the Weight Tool. I hav edone everything as you did @17:02. Can you please guide me about it? I hope you have understood my issue
@Joeherman2 жыл бұрын
You're welcome Moaz. Did you zero out the weights like I did by selecting all the joints and pressing the Zero button? That would remove all the weights and turn it black. Do you see colors on the mesh from the auto-weighting?

Maybe I missed this, but is there a tutorial yet for how to animate dynamic C4D clothing, such as a dress or long coat? Something that hangs from the body, collides with it, and yet also reacts to the wind or objects around it?

@@jeffreybeitz948 Hi Jeffrey. Here is what the issue is. Elly has travelled from London to Las Vegas and she is scrambling at the show. I am not sure she brought the files with her so I am thinking we need to wait until she gets back on Friday. Unfortunately NAB has popped up in the middle. I asked a few times.
