idk exactly what you meant by serious but I think there are times where jake seems more serious and sincere, and like chills with all the jokes and the bits. like in the eating video with trisha, that one feels like he’s mostly just talking genuinely.

looooove this! you really nailed the interpretation of jake actually. but i must say that (for example) in the videos where he’s alone or with johnnie you can see him a little more chill and more relatable. also you can see how humble he actually is, despite his type of humor. don’t know if that really matters but he’s autistic, so communicating can be really hard for him, and there’s videos and podcasts where he talks about it if you wanna get to know him under a more serious tone! loved the video max🫶🏻

Jake can be really sweet and kind of soft/wholesome despite his hardcore appearance. You can see it in the undertones of his friendships and his previous relationship. In the same space, he’s very blunt and won’t do anything he doesn’t want to. Doesn’t seem like he’d be very good at faking or lying. He is a performer. His job is his favorite thing to do. He talks about how important it is to him. He is very confident in his work.

Maybe you can see something interesting in their behavior by having an altered conciousness (I find these videos I’m mentioning to be really funny) 🙂 or maybe it is too much for your usual audience, Idk. sam Colby and Jake have been friends for years, Jake definitely set the tone however even in their older videos sam and Colby can also have pretty "mature" humor as well. they even make jokes like this in some of their haunted stuff. ik they're definitely used to jake and all have pretty similar humor. although jakes content now a days is more this kinda stuff sam and Colby also used to do more sit down type videos. idk I've been a fan of all of them for years and this stuff seems pretty normal for sam and Colbys personality based content. if that makes sense

Well... Jake used to be on Sam and Colby's channel for I think 4\5 years, maybe more. They're friends since they were around 17\18 (now they're around 25) Sam and Colby are friends since they were in middle school actually. They have a really really close, good, and heart-warming friendship. Jake has got SOME! a little bit more serious videos when he's talking about horror and his murderabillia collection. he's got a playlist for that. + You were correct, he does music, got a couple of song, and to my taste they're pretty good and I wish he did more.

I feel like a lot of the people who are upset over the minimal change to sokka are also the ones who aren't thrilled about the actor either and just using it as more fuel for their flames. Sokka is so much more than just those sexist remarks he made in the original. Yes, it added to further show his growth in his character development, but he absolutely goes through much bigger things that shape him as a person. I don't think these toned down remarks will affect his character much. I'm still pretty excited for the show
