Got to say that this is one of the best edc videos I have seen for a long time. It's refreshing that you added a little humour to it, mostly these videos drone on and on and end up being dull! Nice one. Subbed ;-)

Simple, I like that. That's how I am with what I carry on me. Blade, light, and pepper spray on the keys (ASP Key Defender). Thank you for the feedback!

Great video! I especially dig the Yelp stick, lol. Yelp is a great time! The wife and I were big into it and were Elite for a few years combined. Life got too busy and so did Yelp, so we kinda dropped off this last year.

Oh, and yes good call on the extra light and batteries. That is so important to me, I keep an extra light and batteries in each bag I have, not just in my edc pack.

No criticism, quite the contrary. Like your down to earth, straightforward approach. No BS and you gave credit where due (NUTNFANCY). Thanks and best of luck!

You have a well thought out system, you could fit a few safety pins in there easily. The zip ties can be slid in the seems of the pack, there's plenty of space in the seems for those. You may want to include some sewing needles w/ one curved upolstry needle, then you can mend items w/ the floss. A redundant light and extra batteries won't hurt as well.

good video. what I carry as a habit is pepper spray, a small multi knife with light, a Fresnel lens ,pen and notebook. I need to add a lighter.

Thank you for your comments! What's kind of deceiving about this is that this is my only EDC, which it's not. I also have a small med kit in my bag with this, and 1-2 knives and a light on me, at all times. Funny you mentioned safety pins in another comment, I keep a few very sharp safety pins in my first aid kit. Admittedly I did not think of using needles and floss to stitch things with.. I've never had that need. It's a constant balancing of what I want and need in here...

I've seen some specialty cases out there, but I think the best idea I've seen is using a pelican case with the pluck foam. Expensive, but you'll really protect your knives!

I'm not sure how many of these videos I've watched about this organizer, and I keep asking myself "why doesn't anyone have a mirror?" Not only do you have one, but also the fresnel lens. What a great addition! Any clues where to get a little one like that?

The Cord Kid- Great video buddy. Having your EDC kit in a little pull out bag like this makes perfect sense. Too many small items to leave floating around in a large bag.You might consider just taking the spool our of your dental floss and packing that as now you have more cordage not taking up much or anymore room. Also consider packing 2-3 vegetable nags you find at the grocery store in the fruit section. They are very thin and strong for what they are and very multipurpose.Keep up the good work. (subscribed)

Figure out what you will need, use at times, could possibly use, and are willing to carry as an EDC. Any pouch or bag used can and (most likely) will be filled to capacity, small organizers are better to use, have fun finding out what your EDG(gear) will be, and making it reflect you. A light, knife, and multitool (all X 2) are on my person or close any time i'm out.
@billwallace70618 жыл бұрын

Are those two AA lithium batteries ? but the mini flashlight uses AAA's ? did I miss something ?
@nimaiwong38628 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's right. Good catch, it does seem odd! The batteries are backup for my EDC that I pocket carry, use all the time, and drain faster. The AAA light seen here is my backup light that I rarely use. Having two lights that take different batteries could be considered to be more versatile.. Now looking back, a bit overkill. ;)

Book matches could be useful and take up little space(free also). Some times they can be useful, like if you use your friends bathroom and a stink is left then strike a match to kill the funk.

You need more meds man like water purifying tablets, some aspirins, anti diarrhea tabs (unless u have a separate med kit then disregard this hehe), a birthday cake candle would be nice to extend ur lighter life, and more paracord and duct tape.
@niiimz_4 жыл бұрын
Appreciate the suggestions! I do carry separate first aid kits, for the car, for day hikes, and for backpacking. Made my own of course, since they should be as customized as something like this! I may make videos on those sometime soon. Thanks again!

I hope you're right. But hiking as much as I do, it's a tiny, cheap, and light item that I'm willing to trouble myself with. Same goes for a signal mirror.

@bruceforster37098 жыл бұрын
+smokin Joe I will take that challenge. Two years ago, I was hiking with friends in Oregon's Coastal Mountains. I stopped to heed Nature's call. My buddies went ahead because I was planning to catch up with them. I tripped on a rock and sprained my Ankle. They were out of voice range-I USED MY WHISTLE and blew S.O.S. They came running back and almost had to carry me out. By God's grace, we were only 1.5 miles from the trucks. Two Cardinal rules of prepping: !. NEVER travel alone if you can avoid it. 2. Two is One and One is NONE!
@ethanjohnson10498 жыл бұрын
+smokin Joe What?! Rolling hills of anywhere, a whistle is a must for communication if you don't want/have walkie talkies. If you ever go hiking in the woods with others, lots of times you take separate paths to find different things. Whistling by mouth is awesome if you're within 100 yards, yelling within 300 yards, but that's tiring. A plastic whistle get's your point across way easier. Plus it gets attention of anyone walking by and may even be heard by ATVers
@smokinjoe12568 жыл бұрын
***** if i would hear a whistle on a hike in the wilderness, i wouldnt care....as almost anybody. rather learn to whistle with your fingers...its almost as loud as the best emergencywhistle you can get, and you always have em with you.....but in the wilderness it would be useless anyway.
