I like your edc set up..similar to mine. I also carry an extra battery and cable for my phone so I can charge on the fly, when I'm not near by suv. Extra cash is a necessity..I carry a few 5s 10s and a couple of 20s...also a roll of quarters hidden in the car for vending machines..coat ,gloves, a hat and road flares in my trunk

Thank you for your take on keys. I regularly use a relative's car to run errands for her. She has over a pound of extra junk on her keyring/lanyard. The first thing I do is remove the single key I need and use only that as I travel. At the end of the trip, I clean the car and reunite the key with the unnecessary bling.

The card/multitool can be purchased at Walmart in the camping section. It comes w/a clear sleeve though. Nice setup! I laughed at the dramamine mention as I see you're a Marine and I'm retired Navy.

Never understood why carrying a notepad is a EDC thing.. I use all the usual edc pocket gear but have never ever needed a notepad so I don't carry one. lol
@TJGAUTHIER4 жыл бұрын
I think the same way when watching these. A lot of times that'll say "I haven't used this notepad, but you never know!" Then just fold up a sheet of paper and stuff in there. A year ago, I took 4 post it notes and trimmed them to slightly smaller than a credit card and stuck them to an infrequently card in my wallet and have used one of them.
@roytiller45374 жыл бұрын
@@TJGAUTHIER guess the paper could be used to start a fire or something. But that's the only thing I could see using it for.lol

If you want a real good notebook check out the Mnemosyne notebooks. Amazon sells them and they come in many sizes. The paper is really good. It’s a Japanese style lined paper and I like the layout of their lines more. It’s more efficient in my opinion.

Like your Micro kit very much. The Janus seems like a waste for what it contains for its size, compared to the Micro. Size for size, the Micro beats the Janus. I have both but find the Janus has Very bulky internal pockets and straps that steals much of the space. I might cut out the big internal cross strap as it serves no purpose. Originally bought it for what it is intended for, a add on strap, primarily for the Fatboy, Versa packs.
@LandmanEDC4 жыл бұрын
Agree completely. Since this video (almost 5 years ago now) I've stopped using Janus packs altogether for any kind of EDC. Now they're mostly for tools and medkits which I don't get into very often.

Hey ;) I wanna buy the 5.11 Stryke Pant and put a pocketorganizer in the cargo pocket. The same as you :) Now the really really important question: Does the mini size of this organizer fit? Ist there to much space in the pocket? If you walk...is the pocket tight enough the this oranizer doesnt shake? Maybe is a larger version better without shaking in the pocket? That I have to find out und you are my solution now :))) Sorry for the english
