Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack: Review

In this video I am showing my Maxpedition Fatboy. I use this as a camera bag. I will show all the different compartments in the Maxpedition Fatboy.

•Side A (pocket with 2 rows of nylon webbing): 3" (L) x 1.5" (W) x 6" (H); fits up to 8 oz. soda can
•Side B (sheath): 1.5" (L) x 1" (W) x 5" (H); the length of sheath lid is adjustable with internal Velcro attachment for longer item or are completely removable for those who want the quickest access
•Side C (cell phone pouch): 2.5" (L) x 1" (W) x 4" (H) with two pen holders
•Shoulder : Integral 2" strap (min 30" strap alone / max 50" strap alone ; min 40" loop / max 60" loop) with 2" non-slip shoulder pad.
•Empty Weight: 17.6 oz.
•Optional Accessories (Sold Seperately): Grimloc Carabiner and Hook & Loop Modular Accessories (#3501 UNIVERSAL CCW HOLSTER, #3502 TRIPLE MAG HOLDER, #3503 DUAL MAG RETENTION INSERT)

The Maxpedition Fatboy Versipack (#0403) is more than a durable, ergonomic shoulder sling pack; it is the state-of-the-art portable gear organizer that provides secured containment for and rapid accessibility of daily equipment. The versatile main compartment has a huge 156 cu. in. of space with a water-resistant storm collar that can be deployed by pulling a cord-locked drawstring. An array of integral fixed-position external pouches retains and indexes individual pieces of gear while two sets of nylon webbing anchors accommodate MAXPEDITION's modular expansion accessories such as the CP-L Radio Holster. It also has a 2" wide Velcro loop patch on the front lid for attachment of ID patches. Each Fatboy comes with a tactile non-slip shoulder pad providing great comfort during extended use.
The Fatboy's rear slip compartment is now equipped with large loop Velcro patches to accommodate our Hook & Loop Modular Accessories (e.g. #3501 Universal Modular Holster, sold separately). This allows the user to position their concealed carry firearm for a quick strong side draw or weak side cross draw.

I am in medicine school and this is going to be my first choice for the hospital life and everything i need to carry, and for my full medicine kit for my edc ... i cant wait to put my hands on one of them

I like that you are wearing the bag in part of the video. It's the only way for others to really get an idea of how big it is in width, height and overall bulk or lack of. Nice demonstration and explanations.

This is probably the best review of the Fatboy. I haven't seen a better one yet. Thanks for the time. I just got mine today and cannot believe you were able to get two magazines in the side pouch. I have a G23 as well and my magazines do not fit. I have mine in the "cellphone" pocket and a flashlight in the magazine pouch. Great Job!!!

I still have this and also a black one. Switched over to the black Maxpedition not long after this video. Don’t carry everyday, but it’s packed with a few things and I will take it out if the time or place requires. It does have a tear in the stitching but doesn’t stop me. Thanks for watching.

Blaze -- that is a kickass bag you got there. I love that blue color. That works for you, bro. I love mine and I carry it everywhere everyday. I also use that same pouch for my backup mag for my Ruger! Good call! I'd recommend a sharpie on the other pen slot. I find it incredibly useful on a near daily basis. Do you have the CCW holster in there or is the gun just loose?

Its nice but small for what I carry. I'd have to buy other pouches for more items for the fat boy. Wish there was a size between the fatboy and jumbo. Do you carry this pack in the stores or leave it in the vehicle

The bag isn't actually waterproof. It is water resistant. There's a BIG difference.
