Yeah in Germany we usually learn both American and British English in school (although this can differ in every school) and I guess we also consume a lot of media from both the US and the UK so that also has an influence

I also can't quite figure it out, but I think he learned British in school and spent 4 years at college in NYC, so maybe that's where the mix comes from?

I'm 60 years old and certainly not the target audience for Maxton Hall ;-), but I really have to say - I love the series. The two main actors in particular are sensational. I'm looking forward to season 2.

I also thought Dexter from One Day and James from Maxton Hall have some similarities. I love the tenderness these characters have, like they have a fragile side that not many people know. I like that Damian could find some similarities too.

Really like this show. Have never read the books, but the show sounded like it was right up my alley & just finished season 1 last night! Come on season 2! It's been hard to find interviews in English with these actors so thank you for doing one. Hope to see more interviews in English and or captioned if in German. Would have liked if Harriet had been asked some of the same questions Damian was and had gotten to answer.

she is definitely not good in English, its not that hard to tell. and its not a bad thing. She’s german and she’s quite young. She still has a lot to experience to be able to understand and talk as eloquently as Damian

They are actors, probably targeting to take roles in international productions as well, so they must have studied with a accent coach. No german i know has this perfect accent.
