You’ll love it. I’ve the SFV4S grey nero 2024. Best bike I’ve ever bought. Absolutely insane thing. Went SF over Pani as I do long days in saddle, touring across Europe . Love sports bikes but kets not pretend they’re good for anything but an hour blast.
@realsteelrumblehead952510 күн бұрын
Absolutely, big difference between a true travel bike for pleasure (and enjoyment) and a true crotch-rocket to conquer back roads with, that would be the parallel between the SF and the Pani.
@markholmes569510 күн бұрын
Yeah same engine though. The SF has all the nuts. Sure on a track the Pani is going to dominate due to fairings and. The slightly peakier top end but in the road. Meh. I come from sports bikes and don’t ever get on the SF and think , this thing is lacking power lol😂208hp, I’m leaving most sports bikes behind 🙋♂️ Part of me is sick of sports bikes. But still wanted the rush without the ergos. Rode the Pani and loved her too. Major heat problems due to fairings but at MW’s speeds he won’t notice it 😂 Hopefully he doesn’t finally do himself in . Compared to the last bike, this thing is brutal 🔥

Should you be running that hard brand new?
@realsteelrumblehead952510 күн бұрын
Sure, the trick is not to sustain those high RPM's for any long period until you get 1500 miles on it.
@srankarac656510 күн бұрын
No, the trick is to constantly move through the revs, but dont go over like 9k, and let the bike engine brake and change the gears using the clutch at first, till the engine and its parts all settle good... Bren from BT Moto has a good video of how to break in a new V4. Nevertheless I m a big fan of Max and wouldn't want him to have any trouble with the bike. 👏👌
@undinism6910 күн бұрын
That's been a hot debate for decades, I remember a popular article over 20 years ago was a guy testing new bikes/engines, hard as vs soft. The hard ran in bikes performed better in the long run, as it seems some glazing of the positions can happen by babying,constant revs early on. I just woke up so I'm not checking but it might be motoman or something similar who did that. Been over a decade I last checked it. I run my new bikes in hard and didn't have a problem mechanically with my 06 Daytona 675, (had it until recently actually), a KTM 890R and my latest is Suzuki gsx 8s. I don't have "super powerful" bikes due to an old injury or nerve damage in shoulder, I can still push fairly hard but at real high speeds, (220nish km/h plus) my shoulder basically can't push, if my size of bikes is questioned 😏
@undinism6910 күн бұрын
Ok I searched, heh. Motoman hard break in should get you to enough articles, debate on it.

Very nice bike bro!...it's been a few years since I've owned a bike, so this may be a dumb question but, is there still a break in period on new bikes? That’s not how Ducati operates. They are however very generous with warranty work, fixing bikes outside of warranty and even buying bikes back in cases where it’s a lemon. They also have less issues working with mods, in particular their exhaust. BMW by comparison is highly litigious, even for minor things. Every brand has their pros and cons.

@@realsteelrumblehead9525 for sure. The S1Krr is a very popular bike, but when they have issues it’s a nightmare. My boys earlier model v4s kept having water pump failures and Ducati ended up buying it back, full Akra exhaust and all.
