The continuation of my camper build, is removing the cheap manual vent that came from the factory and replacing it with a fan unit. In this case, the MaxxFan Deluxe 5301k that not only has a 4 speed fan, but can also be kept open even in the event of a storm, without an additional cover. Also, when traveling, it is very slim and thus cuts down on drag. Pretty awesome!

I just took my vent fan out to replace it. I used a Harbor Freight multitool to remove the Dicor, and it did a great job of cutting through the aluminium rivets. It did not work well AT ALL on the two (surprise!) tempered steel screws in the middle of the left and right sides. Eventually, I may have a video up of the R&R.

I installed the Maxx fan in my Promaster Van it worked great for a year and now it seems it shuts off automatically. It has been suggested to install a voltage regulator ....Any input?
