Will Magnaflow Exhaust Improve the Sound of My V6 Tundra?

I’ve ran the exhaust for a month now. the truck does have a nice tone compared to stock and I can hear and kinda feel the turbos more. It actually made the truck more fun to drive. It got kinda loud during road trips while talking with my wife, going over the mountain pass. I might put that other tip on it before long road trips. But otherwise it’s been an enjoyable addition to the truck. We took it on a super Rough trail recently. The original tip would have been beat.

I too installed a magnaflow exhaust system in my 2023 tundra a week ago, sounds great at cold start and around town, but at freeway speed between 1900 to 2100 rpm’s the droning sound is not working with my taste. Had to turn up the radio, which meant I couldn’t hold a conversation with my wife. Magnaflow said they didn’t have a suggestion. I ended up installing a short MF muffler which nearly took care of the droning. It’s nearly stock exhaust sound level. The flow is still there at takeoff and midrange

Just put this on my 23 TRD pro. It’s sounds awesome! It’s just enough. Had the magnaflow cut and clamp. Freaking loud and sounds like crap. I have AFE intake/turbo inlet pipes and charge pipes you can hear the turbo noise big time. FYI the video doesn’t do the exhaust sound justice. Great video!

Just my 2 cents. But after having a loud exhaust on my taco and going back to stock I like it better. Nothing more annoying then a loud truck when your trying to spot someone up a hard area. This exhaust is just enough sound to make it sound like a truck again yet not annoying. The price is a bit hard to excuse tho.

I watch another channel and this youtuber has a fully built tundra sr5 as well. He posted a few videos on diffrent blow off valves that he installed to get that turbo pshh sound. Well anyways it shuts his tundra down completely he changed settings to the many times each time it still shit the truck down. Now he didn't tune it but he didn't want to void the warranty on the motor. He took them off and said they were a waist of money.

A v6 will always sound like a wet fart. I put the magnaflow overland exhaust on my zr2 and it sounds like a loud pile of poop. If you want it to sound good put a v8 in it or buy a americas most wanted v8 gladiator.

It sounds better than ecoboost, but no where near as good as a V8. With that said the torque on a twin Turbo V6 is outstanding as well as the torque curve.

V6 is induction sound (front of the car) intakes do a lot for the sound on v6. Exhaust is never going to sound good.

Should have checked out Carven exhaust for your Tundra, way better exhaust than the magnaflow exhaust. Doesn’t sound any different with it.

I had a Magnaflow Overland exhaust on my 4Runner for a couple weeks. It droned so badly on the highway, even with the anti-drone resonator tube. So I pulled it off and went back to a stock design. So much better. The one good thing about the MF though was that I was seeing 2+ mpg gain.
