You are right. Earth (8) generates Metal (7) and Metal generates Water. Earth does not generate Water directly. I should change the statement. However, 7 is also the "lake" in I-Ching so it can be considered Water too. Either way, number 8 (Earth/Mountain) is harmonious with 7 so this is an auspicious combination. Thanks for point that out.

Love the explanation. I want to ask if I am the oldest daughter or patriarch because I have a partner and 1 child that is ours. We are common-law married, rather than having been legally married. I assumed I was the patriarch since my husband is on disability and they recognize us for common law marriage, as married. The oldest daughter bad luck is relevant to me though
