lol, the end part when you are almost like "what am i doing, commenting that dutch door and that flipthrough, when i dont even care about it !?! let's go to the outro and finish that quickly for this month" is really funny because it's not what we used to hear in that kind of video. I loved it :) and i think you're right : Bujo is first for yourself. And the more you do it for yourself, the more it will be useful for others. Be more selfish, you deserve it. And remember, we love you too.

It took me a while to figure it out too that I needed to make my journal work for me and not fit into the mold of what other people create BUT now that I just focus on myself and my needs my journal is SOO beyond helpful and sane as well lol

Hi Leela, I love listening to the sound of your voice all throughout you videos. I love just listening to you talk. 😊 I am sorry that you feel disconnected to your bullet journal so much that it feels like a chore or a burden. I am sorry that you fell pressured. If you do need time to focus about what you feel, & need for you own journal instead of thinking of how others think your journal should be than take the time off. Got back to the style & format that you feel the most comfortable with. In short just do you & be true to yourself. I love the windows theme for this month. I love all your illustrations. I love how aesthetically pleasing, & functional your layouts are. My favorite spreads/pages from this set-up are the cover page the curtain looks gorgeous, your habit & mood tracker spread looks amazing, & I love your dutch-door weekly pages. Thank you for sharing your creativity, video, & so much of yourself. I hope that you will be able to watch my May bullet journal set-up.

Loved this video! I definitely think bullet journaling is meant to help you and not feel like an extra pressure, so do whatever you need to in order for your bullet journal to help you and become more enjoyable! For example, last year I felt kind of stressed thinking of a new theme for every month, so I took one month off entirely, and also I decided that for this year I’m going to do Disney princesses as my theme and do a different princess each month. So for this entire year I already have every monthly theme picked out and I’m enjoying it so much more. Maybe something like that could be helpful for you! Obviously if you prefer to pick your themes each month based on things that inspire you then obviously that works too, but if you love doodling specific animals or plants or frames you could choose them in advance for different months (similar to how you might do vintage collaging every april) and see if it helps to take off some of the pressure! I love your artwork and so if you decide to take some time off I’ll still be watching your next video as always!💕

I personally feel so privileged watching your videos but please do what is good for you! Don't overstress yourself to please us. Sometimes letting go, letting things unfold at a slower pace is necessary to grow.

I just love this spread! The lace curtains look absolutely beautiful. Im sorry you feel so pressured. I understand completely. I don't feel pressured like how you do, but sometimes, I feel too overwhelmed by my own journal. I want to make beautiful spreads just for myself but my expectations tend to be very high. I hate when that happens cause it leads me to feeling more depressed (not in the sad way, but more like I don't feel like doing ANYTHING). Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling like this. It's a bit refreshing to see someone so open about their feelings in a way that can make others relate. Thank you for that. Also, I realised that you didn't do the side tabs this month! I did continue doing it cause it separates 2022 from 2021 in my bujo 😂

This theme is so freaking cute! I love it so much. I love all the little drawings and just your style is 🤎🤎 It's you. We will still be here if you do decide to take a break and keep it for you. You do what works for you sweetie, this is your bullet journal journey and people will still find you but you are the most important factor in this journey 🤎

I'm just watching this in December 2022. You take time for yourself. This spread is gorgeous. We are our worst critics because we want things a certain way, and when it doesn't happen, we're interrupted, and the pressure we put on ourselves to meet our own expectations can be rough. So you absolutely did the right thing stepping back. I love your archived videos. You're very talented. You're beautiful, and you will overcome this. Be strong. ❤️

I just want to say that you don't have to worry abt what I think of your bujo set ups. I mostly come back to listen to you talk about your insights on life and how you are feeling (watching you journal is just a bonus). Anw, I hope you get out of this "slump" (?) and have a lovely day!

Also, I love how you drew ribbons instead of roots on that rose doodle on the habit and mood tracker spread. It looks really pretty :D

Long time lurker on your channel! Love the work, whimsy is the right word. I felt much the same as you at the end of last year. I was struggling to journal, lost the joy in it. I realized that I was pressuring myself to make things "pretty" and consistent even though I don't put my journal out there for others to see. So I decided to do away with themes entirely. I make a cover page each month based on how I am feeling in that moment. Same with my other pages, just "I'm feeling yellow, what have I got?" or "I feel kinda chill, can I express that?". Now I feel truer to myself, less pressured and I look forward to that chance to express and create each day, although I do admit that flipping through is a study in chaos. But then so is my mind most days, that's why we bujo in the first place. I'm not perfect, why should my journal - a reflection of my mind and experience - try to be something I'm not? I hope you find you path to peace again. We'll be here, no matter what.

I truly enjoyed watching this month setup! 📖 I can definitely relate with creating and being on for others, and just not being there for yourself when that was why you started in the first place. I truly hope you have found something that works for YOU.

I totally get it Aarti. I stopped using my bujo in February. (Sighs) I am trying to pick it back up for May as I miss the connection to bullet journaling. I use my ring planner daily but I miss the creative aspect that a bujo delivers. I believe you will find the proper shift in your bujo mindset. You’ve got this!!!!!

Playing catch-up with your videos, but your artwork is stunning - simply beautiful! I am so inspired by your work; listening and watching is grounding while prompting me to want to be more creative - make the time to have more of an outlet to get out of my head, stress, anxiety and illness. Thank you for your content 🧡

i feel you so much on the pressure because of people looking at your journal (or just feeling like they do), i also stopped uploading my pages months ago and it was the best decision i could have made about that. if you stop posting i'll miss watching your videos but maybe other avenues can open up

Honestly, I prefer when people have very personal bujo setups, because it creates more diverse ideas and then we get to know why something might or might not work for some people instead of just finding it pretty

Leela, do you. Take care of you. I know your community is important, but if you are not in a healthy, happy place, you are not there for the community. We support ya! Do what makes you really happy! All else will flow from there. You deserve all good things and forcing your life in any way, as you well know more than most, will not take you where you want to go. You are one of the most self-aware people I know, but I also know that this came at a serious price. I am proud of you, girl!

Your spreads are so soothing and gorgeous! 😍 Love how you draw the lace and curtains...they look so delicate. Re water marker colours, have you tried the Faber-Castell Pitt brush pens? They have an ivory (#103) and warm grey I (#270) which sounds like the kind of colours you are looking for. I LOVE the Faber-Castell brush pens. Their muted tones are just *chef's kiss*! Especially the warm grey I. ❤

Hey Aarti! ❤ the spread is beautiful. I really love everything you do, even though I'll never be able to do something like this. I wanted to tell you, that even if you would make more minimal, no doodle spreads I'd watch your videos. You need to focus on what works for you. (if that is not making videos that is also fine) The Dutch doors looked great, i didn't think of it as cheating. It isn't. it's just practical. And if it works you should embrace it. Take care. I hope to see you again soon😊 Love you. ❤

I apologize if this is a dumb question, but have you ever illustrated a children’s book. Your art is beautiful and stylized and would fit great with YA or children’s books. Even calendar work or more traditional book writings and poetry. Just a thought. If I was writing a children’s book I would hire you! ❤
