I've felt absolutely crap too. Self doubt, feelings of being overwhelmed, etc. Loved seeing your setup. I decided to ditch my old bujo again, and I'm starting fresh for April.

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better now. I cried so many times when I had Covid and I still have Covid brain fog 4 weeks after getting sick. Everything is taking 3 times as long and 3 times as much effort. I'm glad that you are back.

glad to see youre back! i came to your channel for the bullet journaling last summer, but i stuck around for the personal anecdotes and the lovely personality. i've also changed up the way i bujo, i went all the way back to the ryder caroll method and just slap some stickers on finished pages days later. it's nice and simple and more focused on the function than the form, which is what i need right now.

March is my birthday month and this whole spread feels like me. Roses and butterflies and beautiful frames (the mirror on the quote page reminds me of art museums), even the heart in a conversation bubble. I'm bad with words or scared to use them, so I'm always sending out my favorite heart emoji instead. I love windows, I love my window because it shows me that there is more to the world than my own room. Moon and stars because I'm kind of a nocturnal introvert. Bows and fabric because I want to learn how to make clothes. The quotes are literally ideas I've been trying to live by. I have to remind myself not to stress about later and live for the beauty that is the day. The one about thorns and roses is a classic for me because I've never felt like the rose but I have felt like the thorn, and it's been important for me to remember that I can be both. This theme is so lovely and beautiful, and I love you too!

I absolutely love how transparent you are, especially about your past and mental health. It's truly an inspiration and reminds us (or at least me) that it's ok to not be ok, as long as you continue to love yourself and take care of yourself!

Leela! This is beautiful! I will have to share something with you...I think roses are so beautiful, but there is something about the smell of them that physically repulses me. I've never come across anyone else who has this problem. I almost cannot look at too many rose pictures without re-experiencing the nausea I get when I smell them. This makes me so frustrated! When I got married (40 years ago this year!) I wanted white roses in my bouquet. Fortunately, the florist I found was actually able to find "smell-less" white roses! It worked. I got white roses. But I've never had them in my house or yard before or since. Isn't that the weirdest thing you've ever heard! LOL! No roses for me. 🙃

wow i’ve never heard of such a thing either ! u wouldn’t like rose water either then. i’m happy you were able to find smell-less white roses! because i think they are beautiful indeed. i don’t mind the smell, actually, i really like it. i just found them to be cliche. not anymore tho heheh. idk if i’d want them romantically or as a gift still tho. i just like the idea of them and drawing them. if want them as decor for my wedding too! personally i love receiving sunflowers 🌻. do u like the smell of sunflowers? what flowers do u like the smells of? thank you for sharing this w me. 😇 there’s might be typos. im writing from my ipad :P

i still have it! i used it for my voiceover! the camera i use for intro and outro is old and so setting up the mic is this whole process where i need to move everything around and have like a billion wires attached and it’s a hassle so i’m still trying to figure out a set up where it’s more easy & convenient. i know such a bummer ! hopefully i can get it figured out for the next vid :) so surprised someone noticed. it made me smile. like wowww someone is paying attention to the things i get excited about :P

Are you diagnosed with and being treated for anxiety disorder? If not, please use the words feeling anxious instead of I have anxiety. It's so so so important to talk about mental health and I appreciate your candor. It's equally important to talk about it accurately and there's a world of difference between anxiety disorder and feeling anxious. 💚✌🏻
@leelajournals
@leelajournals 2 жыл бұрын
yes i am diagnosed with an anxiety disorder! along with depression and i have ED issues/battling w addiction
@leelajournals
@leelajournals 2 жыл бұрын
i couldn’t properly respond because i was in a hurry. but i think it’s incredibly inappropriate to ask someone whether they are diagnosed w anything. it’s really not anyones business. also, many people do not have the privilege of seeing a psychiatrist to get a diagnosis or obtain treatment. just because someone is not diagnosed does not mean what they feel or have is invalid. and saying so only further perpetuates mental illness as a stigma, untrue, or “all in someone’s head”. as someone who has struggled w mental illness all my life, i felt invalidated by your message, yet i know myself enough to process it with clarity. so just because you can’t see it or that it’s not being defined by your idea of what anxiety is, does not make it any less real.
