Have enjoyed your videos over the past 3 days. It is amazing how many WIP's you have! I was a great lover of Lavender and Lace and have the Ice Angel to complete. I stitched her skirt in white rayon thread Marlitt - it is so daunting that I haven't touched it for several years. I have about 30 WIPS, most of them are large and I work on them as often as I can. But I have I guess over 100 not yet started, some kitted, some not, charts. I will just keep plugging along, watching floss tube and stitching as often and as long in the day as I can. I will likely never get all the charts stitched in my lifetime, but it keeps me going and I love every moment I spend in a day with my floss, needle and linen. Keep up the wonderful work on your channel. I will be following you since we seem to have the same taste in charts and you are very personable.

Thank you so much! Wow, I forgot about that rayon thread for the white parts of her dress. Yes, that was also a challenge to work with. She definitely is a daunting piece. I can totally relate to your whole paragraph (except I have a few more WIPs). I have another 100 projects or so waiting in the wings and many more I see. I love stitching for many reasons so I love my stash. I say, if it brings you enjoyment and your bills are paid “why not”. Do what you love. Happy stitching 🙂

Love your videos. You are such an inspiration. I cross stitched like you in 80s and 90s, then put it aside. Like you again just recently started back cross stitching. I have completed 2 lavender and lace angels, have maybe 5 in my stash. Thank you for sharing .

I'm glad you started a Flosstube. Welcome. You are really a natural. I enjoy your WIP's. You might know this but the designer for Told In a Garden, Lavender & Lace and Butternut Road is Nora Corbett mother. And Nora is the designer for Mirabilia too. Be well, Robin

You have some gorgeous pieces. I had to go grab a pen and paper lol. I loved seeing the ladies on Aida. I’m only using Aida at the moment and I didn’t think I could do those patterns because I always see them on linen/evenweave, can’t wait to do one now. Thank you and can’t wait for the next video, happy stitching xx
@thevirginiastitcher3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, I only used Aida. For the Lavender and Lace ladies and Angel (also Mirabilia) they do have a few half stitches to shape the face and hands. I just pierce the middle of the Aida space. I plan on putting up a Cross Stitch 101 video. I have a couple of viewers that are very new to cross stitch. I can also try to show how I have done this technique also. Happy stitching!

Really enjoyed your WIP parade! When this video came up in my feed and I saw it was Part 4, I went back and watched from the beginning. I love the variegated DMC 52 on your Long Dog!! It’s gorgeous. And that Brenda Gervais piece is gorgeous. I am excited to hear you will be at StitchCon! I will be at weekend A, so if that’s the weekend you are there , would love to meet you. Hope you have a lovely Stitchy weekend!

I would love to meet you at stitch.con but I am attending weekend B. There are some other amazing KZbinrs that are attending weekend A. Maybe next year.

I am going to half to stop watching your videos. LOL. I love all the patterns you pick and the COLORS. You have a talent that I do not have. I am a beginner with only one piece completed. It is a large piece from Glendon Place called Baked Alaska. This took me one year to complete as it is 14x14. I wish you lived close to me so that I could learn from you.

Thank you so much. You are so sweet. I am sure your stitching looks fine. I can see the progression on my stitches through the years. The main thing is…do you love stitching? If you do that is all that matters. The rest will come with time and practice. Happy stitching 😊
@judyalieff74703 жыл бұрын
I would say Iove stitching! I do needlepointing, tatting, quilting and now cross stitch. I am guessing, but probably have 27-28 WIP. I get bored easily, so about every week I change my piece to something different? Do you do that?

Loved you wip parade, I’ve been binge watching your videos from the beginning. I’m a newbie to cross stitch have been cross stitching for about a year worked on several projects and love it. I would love to start on a fancy lady project ,which one would you recommend for a beginner ?
@thevirginiastitcher3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I would say just pick a fancy lady you love. If you watched my latest Flosstube “Fall Extravaganza” I mentioned that Zenia by Nora Corbit would be a good first choice. Happy stitching 🧵

Great video!! As far as HAED’s go, just be sure to not stitch strictly in a horizontal or vertical row as this tends to leave lines in your stitching; I have seen this and it is very obvious when this occurs. I do mine by a little cross country, stitching a symbol to the end of the thread and then either going back to where I started to work another thread color or continuing with the one I was working on. This allows you to finish the areas as you go but not stay strictly in a row. I love the HAED that you chose and I would leave it out for all to see throughout the year; I plan to do that when I finish one of my HAED’s, they are too much work to hide them away! LOL. I am enjoying your videos and I predict that you will soon have many subscribers on your channel. Happy stitching...................

Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed my videos. I have been contemplating my channel schedule. I am thinking maybe 3 times a month...approximately every 10 days. I am planning on the 10th, 20th and 30th of every month or as close to those dates as I can. I have plans to put up another video on June 1 to go over my June plans etc. Until then, happy stitching!
