sharpton2008 On normal days, I think the deepest point is at the whirlpool waterfall. Not sure how deep it is in the main current as it is fairly strong. But on either side if it, it comes up to the waist and a great eddy that is somewhat large to practice rolls in and other things. Other parts of the river can get shallow. Might have a little scapping in some areas when the river is low. To see the gauges of the current flow, go to www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/3418/. I have always been when it is around 2.00 ft which is nice. It has some fun parts at the end for the beginner/intermediate kayaker. While I have not been down to the next take out point, I understand when the river is running, more experience kayakers will like this a lot more. Just know there is no shuttle back up to the Catercay Experience entrance point. You will need to make your own transportation arrangements.
