Kayaking Georgia | Kayaking Cartecay River | Class 2 in 4K

Follow along as we Kayak North Georgia on the Cartecay River! The Journey is a beautiful one beginning with the drive through North Georgia's mountains into Ellijay, Georgia and ending at the put in for the Cartecay River Experience outfitters put in.
The reviews were a bit mixed but after talking to the folks at CRE and using their shuttle services we had no issues! The river has many fun shoals and several good rapids. We appreciated the outfitters and there tips, but I would suggest a skirt, vest, and helmet if you are using your own sit in kayak (mainly for the last two sections). If you are renting a tube or kayak from the outfitters I would go on their recommendations.
Towards the end of the river, you will encounter two Class II+ rapids but the outfitters have shuttles standing by and folks at the take out helping everyone coming down the river! I would give them a 5 star review for the service and suggest checking out their website for more info.
