Give the film a chance. The story is well told, performances Oscar worthy and directing masterful. To see the lingering impact of the abuse and change in perspective of the male lead when he's forced to look back on his past and the childhood he was robbed of.. Definitely worth watching.

3:50 un silencio verdaderamente incómodo pero también me dio un poco de risa como Julianne Moore se ríe y después se miran con el chico y la miran a la otra chica y después se miran julianne y el chico riéndose.😂😂😅

Could not figure out if it was a comedy or really bad soap opera turned into a movie. One of the begining scenes Julian More opens the refrigerator and a sudden serious sounding music overlay kicks in like BA Ba Baaaa, then a sudden pause and she says, "We're out of hot dogs." Like why was that so serious? The movie has nothing to do with what happened in real life, so don't go watching it thinking you will find out any juicy new info. It is just a work of fiction that takes advantage of that story to fool viewers into watching it. I was thinking it was a bio pic, and instead got a mind prick. And I still got a headache.

I waited with enthusiasm for the premiere of "May December" on Netflix and I was greatly disappointed to see that it was an insufferable and boring movie. Moore, Portman and Melton disappointed me with mediocre performances... and the critics "fans" of Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore melt in praise of their mediocre performances when they should be commenting impartially and giving a real criticism...the only thing notable in this insufferable film was the performance of Cory Michael Smith as Georgie Atherton
