Hi Karuna :) I love your videos, but I just wanted to make a very minor comment, as I’ve heard you use the word ‘simplistic’ instead of ‘simple’ in many videos now and I had to say something 😅 I think ‘simplistic’ has a negative connotation, and is rather used when something is oversimplified or dumbed down. I think you simply mean simple! :)

I have to disagree. As a linguistic anthropologist student, I have found that using the word "simple" typically has more of a negative connoatation, becuse it used as a definitive rather than adjective nature of "simplistic." In fact, simplistic is, in its original format, meant to be proceeded with another noun or descriptor- noun (if you will), which allows explanation. For example, grammatically, one can say the sentence "You are simple." But, although one may say, "You are simplistic" it is not necessarily correct linguistically. One would instead want to say " You are simplistic in nature" as a more correct form. The word "simple", due to its definitive nature, denotes something's or someone's essence, whereas simplistic more denotes a particularity in the simplicity of other things. Either way, modern English uses both words interchangably and within both the definitive and adjective forms. So, I frankly do not understand how you "had to say something." I'd love to hear your thoughts.
