I loved the MRI! My doctor showed me where they were that confirmed my diagnosis, but didn''t go through symptoms. I am also having serum reactions to Ocrevus, thank you for going over that, also. 1st full one last month. Scary, doctor not talking to me about it and said it was all in my head and called me "neurotic". I am trying to find a new Neuro. It's already scary enough being diagnosed 8 months ago, so I turned to YTube for anwers and found your channel. Thank you! Extremely helpful.

Marguerite Reffitt nice win in California from Ashland Kentucky. I was in Kentucky, but then I stopped when I got here they don’t have no good just so I listen to you all the time learned lots of things about MS. I have relapsing and I’m stable but I still have terrible pain, but I keep going. Keep going.

I’m 64, in Seattle, and my doctor asked me to stop Tysabri. I just had a spine fusion, so agreed to a BREAK! Now she won’t represcribe it. I have started to have symptoms again. Specifically an inability to feel when my bladder is full. It’s getting worse and she said Aubagio would be fine. However, I have had liver issues, and I have CKD…started in Stage 5 and fought my way back to Stage 3. I don’t want to take a med that has a profile of liver or kidney damage. What do I do? I am JC positive, my Titre rate has never been above .25 and I do 7 week dosing, willing to go to 8 weeks. I know I am not going to go on Aubagio.

Hello - missed the live stream but I have downloaded to listen. I am in the UK and newly diagnosed and deeply grateful for the amazing information that you so generously provided and your very layman friendly explanations. I am hoping to start a disease modifying drug soon and the leaky pool theory was really helpful to me and my family in making the decision to start a DMD. Thank you thank you

I’m very down. I have the diagnosis of MS on my brain. I’ve been through all kinds tests, including heart. I finally got my MRI back and they bring me in knowing the doctor is out, only to have a PA tell me that I have brain lesions, but she will have to consult with the doctor. Yes, because you’re not the neurologist. So I’m waiting to get into the doctors office-again. I just went through a nightmare of optical neuritis that had me in the ER screaming in pain. Now I’m scared of getting that again. I need someone to talk to. I don’t know anyone with MS. The other symptom I’ve been having is body tremors that at times make my body shake and get so dizzy that I fall. I feel like I could be taking medication to help me, but the doctor is rarely in the office. Yes, I’ve tried get into another neurologist here in Austin, but no one can get me scheduled until September. Apparently there is a shortage of neurologists in Texas. I depend on your vlogs Dr., They really help.

Doctor I was diagnosed in 2016. I began my treatment With Copaxone I never had any new lesions until recently and I had multiple new lesions. Does this drug just stop working it’s hard enough to pump myself up three times a week to give myself a shot but to have new damage what If your thoughts on this?

I've been hearing people talking about the carnivore diet. Is that safe or effective for ms ? Or is a keto diet better? Also should I avoid carbs? I noticed as my symptoms were getting worse it seemed like I was losing body fat. I'm wondering if adding more fat to my diet would be helpful. I've always been pretty skinny but now it seems like I don't have much body fat. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your information...your videos...and for being a great neurologist.... I was diagnosed may 1st ...and given a 5 day course of steriods I took at home ... Its been 3 weeks since I finished them...but my symtons barely improved...my right leg is still numb ...my right hand isn't as numb but still tight tingly and not feeling normal....amd still have bladder retention i have to now use catheter for 😩its not emptying properly and sometimes i dont even feel i need to go .....and partially blind in left eye after weeks of pain.... My question is How long do steriods keep working for? Do steriods keep working weeks to months later? Also I'm being put on kesimpta dmt? Will this help my current symtoms 😢 I hope you see this comment ...feeling lost and hopeless today 🥺

They definitely stay in your body. I always had some skin problems after them. Like pimples. You can feel steroids leaving your body. For me, it was like a few months. You definitely need to let your brain and nerves do their thing (neuroplasticity) to see improvement. You need to exercise and take supplements to support it. Dmt will help too. Be strong!

MRI Thursday showed Mild scattered foci of T2/FLAIR signal abnormality are seen in the periventricular and subcortical white matter, nonspecific, commonly sequela of chronic small vessel ischemia, and may alternatively be seen in the setting of migraine headaches, Lyme disease, and as sequela from inflammatory and traumatic insults to the brain. What does this mean?? My general practitioner hasn’t called me to tell me. Had bells palsy episodes with migraine with aura a few days before that. Had problems with vertigo, fatigue, . An episode felt like an Ms hug….. felt like I was having a heart attack… er found nothing.

I was also told too many lesions to count because apparently at a certain point they all run together. It is comforting to me that you have heard that for 25 years...I was diagnosed last April at age 52.
