I had a great reading month too! My Death sounds right up my alley. Soldier Sailor reminded me I really want to get to The Long Form too, I’ve definitely been noticing the motherhood trend lately. I appreciate when it’s explored honestly instead of idealized. I really enjoyed Pond too so I should give Checkout 19 a try! The interview sounds really interesting. Rereading is wonderful, I’m trying to do it more too. Exposure and Committed sound great and I need to try Cusk!

yessss glad it was a good one for you too!! the long form is definitely a gentler, less visceral book than soldier sailor, similar in theme but very different in execution for me. it can be so tough to find the motivation to reread when there are so many books out there we haven’t read!!

@@casskrug Yes, there’s always too many things I want to read. I like capitalizing on a whim or mood to reread when it hits and I’ve never ended up regretting it. But new reads definitely take priority!

Tarquin Superbus is such a good character name though. I loved My Death and assigned it to my book club so I could re-read it. We had a really long chat about it and all 7 of us got something a bit different - there were time travel theories and all sorts. Such an amazing book.
