Believe this is one of the few reviews about Deal with the Elf King that describes it as "meah" and I do agree. At the same time I ask myself if we read the same book...SPOILERS . . you are rIght with "no falling in love part" BUT the DEAL is because she doesn't want to stay with him and be the queen....she has duty to her village and people there...like she can never abandon that duty [all becauae these people payed for her education to a healer] and THAT IS ALL SHE DOES IN A BOOK want to go back to her duty. She neeeeds a 1-page-long talk with her mom and than she wants to go back to the Elf King. 😮‍💨 I total believe Elf King deserves someone better that her. I pick it because of the cover and B & B re-telling. Yes, I read all 4 of the books. Love the Duet with siren duke. The strat is different that all befor it but please push to the part were she finally meets the duke, it gets better from there and there is absolutely amaizing conversation about her past... I know not manx like this book.

One of the many definitions of reading " a piece of literature or passage of scripture read aloud to a group of people" sooo reading can be through spoken word too it's 2024 let's not gatekeep
