You can move the dagger to the left ater the blind is selected. You just have to remember to move it to the right before the next round.

For people wanting help with ceremonial dagger, you can move it to the left after blind starts and to the right before the blind if you want no sacrifice

For the record, I thought this was common knowledge as well and was wondering why NL didn't do it. It turns out that in this challenge, they lock the dagger to the far left, not only is it eternal, but you can't move it at all the whole run. I just did the challenge today and I was planning on moving it to the right side for the last boss blind but it was locked in. Luckily my run was strong enough to sack another joker and easily win with the 4 I had left including brainstorm.

The true NL experience is watching him throw away 85 mult, using the logic that replacing a scaling joker makes space for a scaling joker. There is no such joker in sight. Am now joining the type A chatters

I used to think ceremonial dagger was the king of long term scaling and a huge blessing to get early. Now I think it sucks so bad. It costs money to scale, takes effectively 2 joker slots, and if you don't pay close attention to it, it can screw you up.

A joker that gives x1.5 mult from polychrome (which is not a lot) will scale with ceremonial dagger. Probably still the right play to ditch it here, though I personally would have held onto it because I find grabbing every single planet card fun.

I had a run with a polychromatic sacrificial dagger, I would put it all the way to the right when I entered the blind and then just move it back to get the base mult activated before the 1.5 mult popped but I guess he forgets to move it too often like he does with blueprint lol
