I was one of the people who was really disappointed with Marin's bunny figure. The same day she was announced, I went on Buyee and ordered a big tapestry and an acrylic stand with Marin in her cute blue bunny cosplay and I'm MORE than satisfied with that. I decided that if I see her on the am for like 15k yen I'll get her, if not then I won't even care. I'm also super excited for Hua Cheng's figure (oh, man, you butchered his name but it's okay, still love you ❤😂) but as people already commented I'm worried about it drooping (going to prepare some acrylic rods for when I unbox him).

Im so excited about Hua Cheng. I was a bit nervous about them just going with one butterfly and worried he would have the same leaning issues as Wei Wuxian. Seeing him painted he looks amazing and Im going to just preorder.

Yeah, the fact that it's the same red plastic and it's from Good Smile Arts Shanghai? I would suggest to everyone to wait until release since this time around, it even has something weighty on the plastic and if it drooped without anything, I'd be horribly scared it would droop with actual stuff on it.

For the Hua Cheng figure, I agree that it looks much better painted, but a lot of people in the fandom are worried because GSAS released another figure (Wei Wuxian) with very similar blood effect pieces that had some serious droopage problems. They were never addressed by GSAS so a lot of people think history may repeat itself since the butterfly will likely be somewhat heavy and force the blood pieces down. And then there's also people like me who wish he had been standing in this figure to match the Xie Lian 1/7th, the character's husband and the protagonist of the series.

When FREEing actually tries, they can make a lovely figure but they tend to fall back on low-effort otaku bottom feeding with boring bunnies and whatever waifus are trending.

Another thing with the Chiaki black bunny figure is that’s really cheap compared to other freeing bunnies, it’s a great option if you missed the original. With the Marin figure, it’s very disappointing; Marin actually wears a bunny suit in the manga that’s way more elaborated and looks much better there. Freeing version is very basic to say the least. I also think that the smile looks really weird. Easy skip, it’s better to get the swimsuit version instead.

That Marin bunny has some of the most anatomically jacked up legs I've seen on an anime figure. Her thighs are so unbelievably long, she looks like a horse or something. Reminds me of the 02 bunny which was really jank too with the overly long legs

28:27 Yea Freeing did that exact same thing with Rebecca & Homura from Edens Zero, they wear multiple costumes in the manga, including Homura wearing the most beautiful bunny suit. And I remember thinking at the time oh they’ll definitely make a figure of that since she’s actually wore it in the manga and Freeing just stick her in a basic bunny suit, so sickening.

I have the original chiaki Nanami bunny figure and I feel the colours on it is so nice by comparison to the new one. With the colour variant they should of done a pink and white split body suit modelled after the bunny monomi just like how junko’s bunny is white and black split for monokuma. Would have been a nice juxtaposition and call back to the series. As for kirigiri I don’t know why freeing likes to do rereleases without tights 9/10 it’s a major step down from the original for the same price. I would have preferred a colour variant that made sense for the character or bring back the tights because she’s not worth it otherwise.

Funny story about that KNIVES OUT figure, it's actually already been out before. NetEase games is actually more like a game studio who produces games like Naraka, Identity V, and Onmyoji. Myethos was the one who actually produced the figure and it released originally in 2021 as the only way to get an exclusive skin in the game, which raised up drama in it's own right. HPOI has images of the figure with the box showing that it was made by Myethos. Also funny note, it binned hard and I heard that it could be found for around $80.

Surprisingly, didn't really preorder a lot this May. Only preorders were Nendoroids of Cheshire from Azur Lane (still waiting on a Taihou Nendoroid) and Akaza from Demon Slayer. I did order and receive the Aniplex Mugen Train Kyojuro Rengoku 1/8th Scale Figure which I've been absolutely impressed with. Hoping with the reveal of the FE Corrin scale, they'll rerelease Camilla's scale to go along with her. Aftermarket prices on Camilla are insane. Keep up the quality content!

How do Kotobukiya do figures so cheap? I just got their new Asuka, where she’s laying on the beach and has the ripped plug suit, it was just 16k, compare it with the new Good Smile Asuka with the ripped plug suit that’s 22k. There’s no comparison between the 2, the Kotobukiya she’s laying on the beach and they have clear resin coming in to depict water. The Good Smile she’s just sitting on a little rock that’s being propped up with a clear stand, it looks really odd, and its 6k more expensive.

With Chiaki for me since I don't have the original its either pay hefty, hefty aftermarket prices or get the recolor that's cheaper than most standard bunnies today. Especially considering they have been just increasing and increasing in price for seemingly no reason? I mean I feel like Chiaki has more going on than some bunnies today and she's 24k. I know they always use the release price for the re-release but still. It just makes it all the more glaring. Also if they gave Chiaki a recolor. They should've just given Kyoko one too, I mean what determines whether they do a recolor or a bare leg? Does freeing just pull it out of their ass?

I gotta be honest I forgot to look up Chiaki's aftermarket price, but I should have assumed it was high since most danganronpa figures are, but yeah it feels a bit random that she got a recolor and kyoko didn't. Perhaps they couldn't think of a color scheme that looked nice enough but I doubt thats the reason lol

The reason is because chiaki has thigh stockings not full leg ones, so they would need to have resculpted the whole figure to make her bare leg, and we know freeing is too lazy and cheap to do that

I can confirm that "thicc" is not a plus for everyone. 🙂I am definitely not a fan of that Murasaki figure. Her proportions look silly to me. I do wish they would have remade Kirigiri with tights. I think the Danganronpa bunnies are the only Freeing bunnies that I am interested in.

So, I actually pre-ordered the Dragon Warrior Princess because I liked the design. (And the concept that she's kinda like a mount with the saddle.) Then proceeded to pre-order a figure of Woody "Toy Story" on amiami just so I can take a picture of him sitting on the saddle. He also has a great meme face if anyone knows what I'm talking about. 😂 Happy they re-released Lina Inverse from "Slayers" as a nendroid.

I think the Toradora bunnies are priced more because they figure they aren't a sure-sell the way a Taiga figure is so they decided to charge more to balance out the lack of volume in sales.

Abt the Chiaki figure it’s probably black because her stockings have a sculpted band. Almost all barelegs with the exception of a few have stocking versions where they go all the way up their legs. Probably why almost all of bindings re releases with the exception of one are recolors. They’re just lazy XD

The thing with FREEing is.. They're the only ones doing what they do.. So as much as I am dissapointed in the Marin Bunny and want to speak with my wallet.. I'm still going to hate purchase it because, guesss what.. Unlike other scales, there isn't any other 1/4 Marin figures and likely wont be until FREEing do their re-release.. So you take what you can get or miss out entirely.. If I knew there was potential for another company to pick up the slack it would be a different story..

It's almost always what FREEing offers or nothing.. If you just want a Marin figure, there is 100% better options.

I don’t even know what the ascension are, I only watch the Fate animes and don’t play the game, because the game wasn’t available here in Europe for a while, I only just found out today it’s been available here now for months so I might start playing. But ascension is just different clothes isn’t it? I’ve preordered the Phat Company Semiramis from big bad toy store and have to pay $399 for her, I ordered her from there because I couldn’t find her anywhere else. But now AmiAmi has her for half the price. So now I don’t know if I should cancel her and just buy her from there, I’ll lose the $60 deposit but it still works out cheaper. But the shipping will be more expensive and customs will also be more expensive, it could be over €50, where I might totally avoid the customs if I buy from bbts.

In the game, each servant have 4 ascension arts. 1st to 3rd ascension all have the same "stand and look straight at the camera" pose in 3 different variations of their clothes. The 4th is a unique portrait with them doing something unique with their character.

You mean as you play the game they take a different pose on the screen with each iteration of ascension? But they do get different clothes with each ascension? Because the Semiramis figure looks slightly different from the Semiramis from the Fate anime, she’s got the massive hair and her clothes look a little different.

They come with a variation of their outfit as they ascent, but usually their pose stays the same throughout until the 4th ascension. Which is their final ascension. The Phat Semiramis is her 3rd ascension art. Down to the outfit and pose. Don't get me wrong. It's not a bad looking figure, far from it. But I would rather them adapting her final ascension art. With her sitting in the Throne. It'll cost more, but it will be way more interesting.

im very new to figure collecting and am currently looking out for any marin figure because i love her so much :( it sucks that her bunny is quite bland and her price is absolutely egregious, but i do have her preordered... its just difficult to say no to a quarter scale figure of her, especially considering bunny figures are still so appealing to me as a new collector. despite everything, i think they captured her face/smile very well at least

Sometimes it's hard to say no to characters you love and yeah it's unlikely any other company will be making 1/4 scales of Marin so don't stress it too much. As long as you're happy in the end

I thought I was going to instant pre-order the Murasaki, but she's pretty damn pricey. Though I will say, the Minamoto No Raiko figure I have is a 1/7th and she's enormous, like a 1/6th level size. This one will probably feel like a 1/5th or so. Which is off, because Raita's character are not that big. For scale, I believe Raiko is about 178cm or roughly like 5'10". So she's "tall" but not some amazon or something.
