I used to watch her mom Mo Brady pitch for Margie Wright at my eventual alma mater Fresno State. Her pedigree is incredible. And I had the biggest crush on her mom as a teenage athlete back in the day. Used to see "Tommy" with his parents on occasion at home games. Good family, great athletes.

@Sal Valestra I was the opposite of that. I loved judo, wrestling, lacrosse, and football, but out of all of those that I did, including track, I loved none of them like I did cross country. It was actually my sophomore year in high school that I realized I wanted to continue with all things long distance running. The longer the distance running, for me, the better I was (and still sometimes am) at running.

Don't forget, Maya's uncle Kevin helped lead the Red Sox to 2 of their 4 World Series in the 21st Century, so far with the 2004 World Series sweep over the Cardinals not only being the teams first WS championship in 86 years, sandwiched between Patriots' Super Bowl 38 and 39 wins. Her uncle Tom was partly responsible for motivating the Red Sox into breaking the so-called Bambino's curse and twice, Red Sox win the World Series, followed by the Patriots winning the Super Bowl(2004, 2018) with the 2nd time beating L.A.'s Dodgers and Rams, respectively!!!
