I plan to do this excursion on my next cruise, however I will book directly with the attraction. As you mentioned $10 isn’t a big difference and we’ll have to pay for transportation, however so much ‘excursion’ time is wasted in the theatre it can take at times an hour away from your fun time. Experienced this with Atlantis in the Bahamas and was not impressed. And to make matters worse, once we got to Atlantis, there were no Shorex staff to guide the many many masses through the entry process of filling out online waiver forms. We could have done this while waiting in the theatre for over 40 minutes!

How do the water slides compare to the water park at Coco Cay or even Icon? We are going on Icon and stopping at Costa Maya. We like zip lines and water slides so this might be the best of both worlds.

Hi! It's really splitting hairs because Coco Cay and Maya Lost Mayan Kingdom are both great water parks! I think Maya has more slides overall, however I like how CocoCay has the light effects in the tubes which Maya does not. Maya has an awesome lazy river and CocoCay does not have a lazy river but does have the adventure pool and wave pool. Now in terms of ziplines, Maya's ziplines are 100% better than CocoCay's. Plus the ziplines and slides are all included together. So it really depends on your preference. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢

Lost Mayan Kingdom was a mix of cool and not so cool. The ziplining was great, the staff helping you on the lines were great. The park as a whole though, felt a little “lost” like it wasn’t crowded for a reason. The mosquitoes are so aggressive there, no amount of bug spray helped my family, and I didn’t see many other guests without big red welts on their skin. Also the cafe there was selling food they thought Americans…liked? deserved? Very over priced and very bland. The water slides didn’t all work. So I would hesitate before recommending this tourist trap to a friend.
