@ girl hush. They are the best team. We are fans who love the girls and discuss counts looks this and that. Just like if it was a football team. Bayou classic is our Super Bowl. We might discuss technique placement and all that without it being negative. Let’s stop trying to make commentary and discussion all negative. I wish there was like a social media maven for all of the teams that would look through what’s out there and filter out information that could be useful.

I would prefer Maya because the STRUT needs to go back to what it was 2014-2019. I love and appreciate Airielle, but I am not a fan of her strut. It actually looks better now that she’s off the team than it did when she was on the team.

I think the sponsor and coordinator not being as present as they should be is a problem too, they need to help clean up counts and do small things. The uniform for the botb was honestly unacceptable at some point the sponsor knew those uniforms weren’t good. I would have preferred an older classic uniform return than that one. The uniforms have been lacking this year and the team isn’t backing up the captain.

Mel, the Dolls have been introducing new march in/out routines every season since you left in 2017. Herb just didn’t introduce anything new at all & Airielle didn’t introduce much either.

21:06 taneria’s count. Also I agree with maya about the nuances they make them look less together. After 2019, a lot of details in the counts are not as strong as they used to be and they all do the counts different from each other. Watching ‘21 as seniors, they dance a bit softer and then ‘23 dances a bit harder, it’s noticeable.. especially this season because Herb is so hard hitting.

@ yes they were clean!! but at the same time, all togethers were still getting lost in the sauce. And idk even looking at ‘21’s crab class, dolls have become the field runners for sure, but it just feels like they don’t focus as much on stands. Looking at more mess ups, even from the vets, probably why there are less all togethers. Airielle is gabby’s baby, and Kyre is Jada’s baby, so they dance like the era they came under. But the younger girls behind them, they dance differently than their captain, which is normal, but it’s just way more noticeable. But micah’s season and captains before her, them girls were sharp and not to be played with.

I hate to say this but… I think struts and all togethers were lost under Airielle.. yes she was a strong technical field dancer but stands and struts suffered under her reign.. Kyre tried to bring back counts, all togethers and a strong stand presence but it was 2 years of lack of details in stands that they’re trying to bounce back from. The Holy Trinity will be the saving grace

Here’s my take on the Battle of the Bands uniform: I think they were aiming for an old Hollywood pinup look, but the top’s fit is always tricky with bras-either the band needs adjusting, or the cup needs better support. For the game day outfit, the first concept was cute, but adding gold trim-like a strip around the the top of neck line or cuffs-would’ve made it pop. The bodysuit gives more “mother of the bride” vibes, though. As for the second half of the Bayou Classic game day look, the Cinderella concept was a creative attempt, but the nude inset really threw it off.

I agree about dancing all together and the struts. It's one of the staples from Dolls being able to continuously throw catchons as a team. "Neck" and "Knockin' Heads Off" should be all together. The call formations can be peppered throughout the game. Although 2019 didn't do it often, they were on it when they did it. Unfortunately, we only had one game from 2020. The 2020 team had it, too.
