I just finished watching 30 for 30. May the Lord bless their journey. Please help in your own way. This can be done in so many ways...with words, letters, contributions, prayer, petitions, viable programs , support groups, educational programs, voting, holding our leadership accountable etc. We need solutions...We can’t fall for deflections, distractions, scare tactics and excuses.

@Tyana Holmes I don’t understand the notion of marrying down for men or women. I believe that it’s a choice and we choose the best of our options. Take me for example, so it’s not so offensive. I’m rather wealthy but if all that I can attract are women that are beneath where I think I am, would I be marrying down by choosing the best of my options when all of my options are beneath where I think I am?

That's because they have no clue about what she's been doing all this time, actually doing something about people getting wrongfully convicted. She's putting in work in a different way. But nope, all they see is a person who stopped playing ball and put on weight...no context, no clue as to how much she's still outworking the average dude in everyday life.

She should be the face of the WNBA...A real woman....so beautiful,so classy ,so elegant, so intelligent.... She has the diplomacy of a presidential figure......Her values would be the values that God want us to have .. Prioritizing what's really important in life.... Basketball was a gift... Maya was one of the best to ever do it..... She might not come back to the game.,but if she does....I guarantee she would return to form.... ESPN should be running this over and over and over ,but what she represent ,they will just breeze through it.... Maya ,u are a true QUEEN...God bless u sister

Wow amazing that their are so many comments concerning Maya's weight physically and not the weight of her powerful words. We as people are so superficial and don't focus on being better humans to each other. If she did not want to play basketball no more that is fine. She did everything to do there with the Lynx. If she does return she is 32 and can get back to game shape. You guys should see some NFL players after the off season and get back with me.

I believe your decision on leaving the spotlight of professional women’s basketball has opened the door for you to proceed to your dreams of helping others. You are a role model for all women of all ages to follow their own lifestyle. I have been a long time supporter of your ever since your freshman year at UConn and you have given me countless hours of entertainment. I wish you all the happiness in your marriage and believe your success in your foundation will grow beyond your dreams. I thank you for my years o f entertainment and your gift to humanity
