Wow, Maya is getting amazingly skilled at goat fostering techniques, a few neighbor videos ago she was mostly observing her neighbor doing them and explaining his tips and tricks. Now she can pretty much take over for him for a whole day when necessary! I still don’t understand how mares edoats and does edoats and liddle lambsy divy, a kiddly divy too wouldn’t you? Nor, by the way, do I understand how oats peas beans and barley grow. But I bet Georgie can explain it.

My understanding was she had a fair bit of goat experience _before_ Alveus. But Eric's knowledge has only improved upon that skillset! (I *_think_* his name is Eric.... Or was it Nick? 😅)

@@DUKE_of_RAMBLEYou’re correct on all accounts! Once Maya told us that she was around 6 or so the first time she helped out with a goat birth so definitely knows what’s up. Though I’m sure Eric has helped to expand her knowledge even further.

I think it's smart that Maya spends time with him, not just because it makes her a good, well rounded person... but because she will absorb his wisdom! _(also, because my hope is that if Alveus takes off even further [this rapid growth having already surprised Maya], the kindness she's sewn here might allow her to buy land from Eric in order to expand 🤞😌🤞)_

I appreciate how unfazed Maya is about getting poop on her. I feel like everyone (including me) has gotten so germaphobic that we forget that poop is part of life and especially taking care of animals. Obviously being careful about it and not eating stuff or wiping eyes without washing hands is important. But at some point, you just gotta handle some poop and be cool about it. Normalize poop!!!

They do have subtle differences, plus I believe there’s only about 4 per pasture area so you can narrow it down by the zone you’re in
