P.S. For me, I told all of my friends, before starting my Masters's degree, that I wouldn't be around for hanging out. They said "Why?' and I told them that I'll be working on my degree. I work day and night, night and day, but after a year and a quarter, I got it all done and I graduated with a 3,75 GPS. Basically, I put my wants aside for my needs, dealt with my needs head on, and accomplished my goal. I did it, and you can too. Good luck this semester.

maya!! double check if you can actually keep your vitamin c serums in your skincare fridge! vitamin c is very unstable, and need to be at a certain temperature and pH to work, so keeping it room temperature in a dark place might be best! 🥺 also, as a fellow acne-prone black girl, hyperpigmentation is my toughest battle LOL. any form of trauma, irritation etc. to the skin will always almost result in post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, it’s just how melanin-rich skin works! i love ingredients like tranexemic acid, kojic acid, alpha-arbutin etc. alongside my vitamin c to REALLYYYY fight those dark spots!!! if you read this ily lmaoo❤️

Maya, you've got too much weight on your shoulders. #1. Some spontaneity in your routines can't hurt. #2. I understand being a problem solver and being independent but, being human and your needs outweigh that in reality. Meaning, you have to put your emotions in check well enough to get the help that you need and remain open to suggestions that can help you. Otherwise, you won't get your issues resolved and, you'll wind up really losing it. #3. You're a college student, and right now is the best time to resolve these issues before school starts. The reason is, you won't have time to deal with your issues because you'll be too busy with schoolwork. #4. Take personal time out for you for at least an hour per day, go for a walk and unwind. 5. Begin to set goals for yourself each week for each day that you can accomplish. (Ie. Catch up on your homework). 6. Manage your time and schedule so your can address all of your needs before you focus on your wants.
