The leaves of your orange trees are yellow which indicates Chlorosis, an iron deficiency disease caused by highly alkaline soil. It is worth checking the pH of your soil. Chlorosis shows up as pale green or yellow leaves in new growth and lack of vigour. The problem may be alkaline soil, not the riverside location, although moving the trees to a sunny spot will benefit them (by the way, the best time to move trees is in the winter). This problem can be fixed by applying acidic citrus fertilizer once a year or as needed. I use Nitrosphere Plus, from Vital Garden. it is ecologic. I live in Spain and buy it at Leroy Merlin. A 750 gm box, enough to treat several trees, costs about 7 euros in Spain.

The rocks could be used to make a car path so, when it rains any car can easily go in or out. Also would look great.

Congrats on getting a septic system! That looks like a ton of hard work done by all of you. I would use the rocks to "pave" the driveway so future delivery trucks won't get stuck in the mud all the time.

Suggestion for the lemon tree... don't plant in poorly draining soil. Lemon trees like well draining soil and clay mixed with soil doesn't drain well. Lemons like a lot of sun but they don't like too much water. Water infrequent but heavy. The leaves also look large so it's on the lower end of how much sun it should get. The larger the leaves the less sun it's getting. Also lemon trees don't like any temps below 20F (-6.6C) so if you see the temps going below that then you might want to put a temporary greenhouse around it during that time.
@davidwillettts931
@davidwillettts931 3 ай бұрын
The temperature probably doesn't fall below 6.6C in that location. The site is steeply sloped so the soil will be well-drained.

Maya, you should have cut your weeds first before marking. and going though rock? well now that will take a little more thinking even drilling and breaking rock up to get it out of your trench .... so you can lay sewer pipe. And then frost layer do you have that there i do.. so mine had to be 38 inches deep So under my house it is 38 inches down and then 1/2 inch for every foot to septic tank.. so by the time it got to my septic tank it was 48 inches deep. below frost line. I have no problem with freezing in my area. Your contractor or digger should know this!!. take care have fun life is always an adventure. and why two tanks? one or the first one for solids and the other for liquids.. then it goes into a drain field to filter anything else out.my tanks are made out of concrete to last forevermore
