The main issue I see with the ‘bad’ side is because it’s harsh, it draws attention away from your natural beauty and more attention is directed towards the colours going on. But the ‘correct’ side let’s us appreciate your natural beauty, and even makes us forget you’re wearing makeup. Great video!

Some of the things she mentions are mistakes to avoid but some are just preference; like those lashes for example. The different lash shapes suit different people. Also the right side is more of a drag/ glam look and the left is more natural glam.

First I'm going to say "Makeup is a art" I find both sides to look nice. I'm not sure if that's because most of us women are use to seeing but I think both sides look nice. on the Do side it just look more natural and soft. Maybe for a office job look. The don't side is a more dramatic look. For maybe the going out club/bar or just to wear. That's just my opinion.

I like the “Don’t’ side more. If she wasn’t so extra with not blending out the harsh lines... apply a more natural lash it would be fine. We each do our makeup differently. This felt like one of those infomercials where people purposely do silly things to sale a product, or in this case prove a point. Both sides are cute. Just discovered this channel - love it.

Maya I have learned so much from you I’m 68 years old and have been wearing makeup since I was about 20 something and the biggest thing is one brows and foundation I use to put my finger on the top and continually dap but it just dawned on me I’m introducing bacteria into the bottle so I stopped and started putting a little on the back of my hand. The “don’t” side technique isn’t horrible. High light & contour is going to be dependent on your face shape so the placement is going to very. Long as you are using shades that match you it will work out.

I want other women of color to find her more easily, because it’s not easy to find quality content for WOC on KZbin. Just how many channels are there for white women and men with millions of subscribers? How many POC? I’ve personally been watching mainly white men because the content was high quality and to my liking. Then I thought about it, and I should be able to see someone who looks like me applying makeup.
