Lol no. You just need to be back by the curfew time which is 9:30pm for first years and 11pm for 2nd years and above.

I suggest staying in the hostel at least for your first year. If you're still looking for an apartment, you can go to the apartment complexes directly and ask if there's any free apartments available. Likelihood of that right now is a little low considering the sem is gonna start very soon and most people (seniors) would have booked already!

It'll be raining quite a lot but otherwise it's fine! You can't really escape the rains in manipal 😅

No one's gonna stop you - but not sure how safe it is. About the lighthouse I'm not sure if it'll be open but you should check online.
