I’ve found that in my lowest moments the way forward often gets revealed shortly after. One and only thing you can ever do is keep moving, you’ll get to where you want to be eventually but you might end up going a way you didn’t expect

I think what you've shared is very raw and real - it takes a lot to share those feelings. I've had similar feelings recently, but I feel a peace and optimism in moving upwards. Gratitude and guided meditations have been a great help for me. Sending you good vibes from Scotland.x

I understand completely. The whole of last year I felt like exactly this, and I essentially did what you have done. I journaled. I kept a diary, which I never normally do, documenting how awful everything was. But you know what? Even though I haven't gone back to read them, I know they exist in a notebook in a draw, as proof that even THAT sort of funk (where, like you say, things could be worse on paper, but your actual point of view is that nothing brings happiness) I could still pull through. It's just time, and a little bit of work each day. Plant some kind of seed that will grow over weeks and months, so when you're out of this horrible haze, you won't just have a blank period in your life where you contributed nothing to anybody, including yourself. Purpose is everything. This video is a phenomenal start. All the best.

Keep on keeping on, man. I know, it might be hard sometimes, but there is so much more worse things in this world that could be happened to us... -- end this is the wrong mindset. Or not. But I prefer the next one: we live our tiny (in terms of time) lives, neglecting the incredible beauty of the world, closing our eyes or not noticing the amazing little things that can inspire to do great things. And this, I believe, is much more important: to remember that not only can worse things happen, but also that so many wonderful things have not happened. And it's all ahead, you just have to keep moving. --- It's also very good when your home is not in the flames of war. This is something to appreciate. Best wishes to you.

Damn my man this is really aesthetic. Almost feels like a shot from a Wes Anderson movie or something. Anyway, I hope you can find your way towards a happier life. I spent years at my lowest point, and I thought that would just be how life was gonna feel until I would eventually die. Now I know that it doesn't have to be that way, and I hope you know that too. Life is beautiful, even when our minds don't let us see or feel it.

I completely understand. 2024 has been... overwhelming in its amount of loss. Professional help, is my best advice. Soon I will start going to counseling for 10 hours each week, along with Ketamine treatments. Its okay to admit that you're not okay, and that you really, really feel broken. Push for more help if you need it. It's out there ♡

Hey man, not sure what you're up against currently in your everyday life, but making a judgement call by everything you said in this video. I have some strong recommendations that I know could easily be swatted away due to their simplistic nature and potentially controversial due to sounding popular or otherwise snake oil salesman-y. But I HIGHLY recommend a high protein breakfast for you every morning for the next month (eggs, peanut butter, sausage - vegan option meat if preferred) alongside a 10-20 minute no equipment morning workout (I can share a video from a guy on here I follow). Follow this with a cool (to start) to cold (to finish) shower. If you can afford it, Methylfolate (not Folic Acid) supplement of a minimum (1,000 micrograms - mcg minimum) per day. Stay off social media the best you can. If you can't, try and make the target to connect with a friend on there. Read books (a genre and story you'd love), little to no TV (unless it's a comfort comedy at night of something you've seen a million times and it gives you joy). You seem like you're in a creative pursuit, so accomplish one task, no matter how small, that directly pushes you toward that art that gives you joy. I'm all about simple practical advice when it comes to dealing with something psychologically. When the mind is weak, give the body everything it needs to pull it up. Every action we take determines how we will feel.

The question is, "so now what?". When you stop asking yourself that and are frozen for longer than say a year in this position, then it may be time to get help. But for now it seems evident that you see a reason or a purpose in this, and that very well may be true. Sometimes just getting to know this part of life, and this is part of life, can make you a better and happier person down the line. It will get easier and I think you know that where you are at now is, like life itself, temporary. Things will change because that is all that life really is, episodes and moments flowing from one feeling and setting into another. You are right where you are supposed to be and if this episode makes you more empathetic towards others, and a better more humane person, then this will all be worthwhile. I was a drug addict for over 20 years and I am simply telling you what I wish someone had told me when I was young and experiencing depression. Instead I sought an escape and that created a whole other set of problems. The poles will shift until then look for someone to commiserate with or If you want to feel better instantly then do something for someone else. You don't even have to know them. Just do something for another human being. Your position will change almost immediately. Take Care. BW

Well, it can only get better from here, if it really is rock bottom you'll ascend. It's also time to let go of things you can't change and focus on things you can change. Old relationships will be left behind, old habits never to be repeated again. Think of it this way: steel also requires melting and hammering before it reaches its final form. Now you're getting hammered and your future self will thank you for what you are doing now. Just let go, you only have to suffer as much as you make yourself to.

I don't know what you're going through but I can say I have had some very low points in my life where I felt like I could never come back from them and, somehow, each time, the days pass, things shift and you look back and think 'Jesus, I hope I never go back there'. At least I now know that when it happens it's only temporary. It feels eternal when you're in there but it won't be forever. Hang in there man 🙏

If your issues are clinical there is no substitute to a doctor and medication. If, as is more likely, they are circumstantial the solution is very clearly stated but difficult to understand. Depression is ignorance, and the escape is understanding. Learn to get out of your own head and see the world for what it is instead of from whatever perspectives, assumptions, and delusions you have at your center. Two people can look out the same window and one can see the rain as dreary and one can find it relaxing. But you can just see it as rain.
