@@paulmcgee1867 Yeah they're clever and have noticed that giving a few sets to youtubers and making a few videos would cost them way less than buying adds and sponsoring tour pros yet result in better exposure and eventually business!

Yes, after watching this and at least a dozen other tests by master fitters and other sources I consider to be reliable during thousands of hours of watching reviews and actual fittings. Am a golf geek I admit. Takomo irons are every bit as good as Mizunos.

I've purchased irons - 5 to SW, 52 degree - and a driver from Tour Edge and they have been great. I've gamed them for 2 years. The great thing about Tour Edge is you can customize your set if you know your specs. I'm 6'2 so I got them 3/4" longer and 2 degrees upright. Plus, you have 30 days to try them out and can return them for 100% refund if they don't suit you. Give 'em a shot.

I'm playing a combo set of 301MB and CB. I've bagged them in January and so I've played a "few" rounds (like 200... ) with them. The only negative I see is that the chrome plating seems a bit thin/fragile on the soles (I know I've got a fairly fast swing, and play a somewhat "abrasive" course, but that's about twice as fast as on my previous Bridgestone J38 CBs). Other than that, they perform great, feel real nice (the MB more than the CB, but that was to be expected)... and cost about half of what a similar set from Mizuno or Titleist would have! The thing is that I knew the shaft well and the heads are... well "blades and shallow CBs", plus having been fit before I know I am "super standard" in lie/length, so DTC is fine for me (plus... I'm convinced that after 2 rounds you adjust to the clubs more than any fitting can adjust the clubs to you, provided you're in the right ballpark).

Fantastic clubs. I know my tailored fitting so was easy to buy online. Would have loved the projectX 6.0 but the KBS Tour stiff would do just fine.

I would be tempted, as a high handicapper I would possibly look at getting the heads only and then a fitting for shafts etc via my club pro. The lie is tweaked in my current irons Wilson D7

Comparing them to T150s is fine for a personal comparison in terms of "should I swap out my clubs" is concerned. But it really isn't a like for like. The 301s are Takomo's shortest irons. They are meant for people who really want/need to work the ball. They are honestly more comparable to Titleist CBs (which are also a lot shorter than T150-the T150s being made for distance with stronger lofts). Just wanted to put that out there.

I’m going to build my set with Takomos. Got the shafts, got the grips need the heads. I’m torn between the 301mb and the 101T. I’m done being suckered by the majors.

Did you end up getting the irons aims at high handicappers, or the ones aimed at scratch players? Kind of odd that you were deliberating between their most and least forgiving clubs so I'm pretty curious 😅

Zero. The price you get on the site includes the VAT/taxes (if you're in the EU or UK at least).

most quality players know their numbers across the board. Takomo can provide custom shafts in their line up upon request, but the shipping takes a little longer and will void the return policy.
