I can't wait to get the X-T5. It reminds me of the X-T2. IBIS is the only thing I wanted the most. I had the X-T4 but it was a bit too big and heavy... I didn't know that I prefer the flip up screen more than the flip out. Because shooting from the hip it's better to have the screen centered, where the lens is also pointed at, instead of looking at the left side of you.

I had a x100v all dressed up with the hood and all that. I really enjoyed that camera. It introduced me into the Fuji world. It also eventually had your channel pop up in my suggested videos to watch a few months ago. I over time decided the fixed focal length is fun but just not for me and my needs. I listed it and sold it within 45 minutes on a forum. Then went down to my local camera store and he just got a shipment of various xt5 combos so I picked up the silver xt5/16-80 kit. I really for some reason struggled with 16-80 or the 18-55 kit but ended up getting the 16-80 kit. I am heavily invested in the Nikon Z world and love it as well. My main kit is usually my z9. I was not that enthusiastic about the zfc as I was the DF when I got it back in the day. So, Fuji is kind of filling that gap. Thank you for the great videos, love the channel and the sense of humor you bring to your videos.

The plug you don't know is your cousins' from the other side of the pond! That's good old Blighty. I think the XT5 is for me. Collected it yesterday (18 Nov), and had a trial run today in the local deer park. Absolutely delighted with it. The reduction is size and weight on paper is not much but noticeable after my XT4 in the field. The return to the tilt screen is most welcome. And the accuracy and speed of the AF, as you say, is an improvement. As always, nice first impression.

Just used the XT-5 for street photography using electronic shutter - necessary if you want to use the "preshot-ES" to catch precise moments of a running or walking subject. The rolling shutter made almost all of the shots unusable, even with a walking subject. I suppose that's a function of the high data burden of a 40MP sensor. Made me nostalgic for how great that function was on an old Lumix GX85 micro 4/3.

I just got my XT5, and so far I like it a lot. It feels much smaller than the XT4, even though it's really just a few millimeters different; It must have to do with subtile changes in the shape. Have to say that I'm a little pissed off that several manufacturers, including Fuji, have stopped including chargers with their cameras. Seems to me like a stealthy way to increase to price of the camera by $50 to &70. No charger means that if the battery goes flat the camera is out of service while it charges.

I’m a photographer and have no interest in video and whilst I understand the draw to including it, I am also unimpressed by the megapixel count because I do not think we need that . If a high res option was included then that might have some value to a non pro user . Therefore , I can see a lot of reasons to stick with a XT 1 or 2 if a stills user . That said , I find a lot to love about this camera . As for the packaging , this is perhaps to reduce waste and landfill ; if that were true , what is it with all that plastic ha ha. Lovely video Omar ! Thanks once again

I’ve only ever had the x-t30, and I am still able to take great pictures with it. I’ve got a lot more to learn in terms of basic photography techniques before I would consider getting a new body. But if I were getting one and had the money, the x-t5 would be for me. Dials for exposure and focus mode, more hand grip depth but less size, flippy screen, and the latest in af, film sims, and battery performance. The added video capabilities and larger sensor would be icing on the cake given my needs. I find the x-t5 design encouraging and hope they continue with this vision for the x-t series so that when I am ready for a new body it will be all that the x-t5 is but more. (And in the meantime I’d love some af and menu kaizen for my x-t30!)

How is the shutter speed dial, does it go in 1/3 increments? I have an old X-E2, where the shutter speed dial goes in whole stop increments (like 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250,...). This has made me set it to T, a position which allows me to set the shutter speed to any intermediate 1/3-stop value using the thumb dial on the back of the camera. The result is that the big mechanical shutter speed dial on top of the camera is never used for anything other than contributing to vintage look.

Thanks Omar for all of your content. I upgraded from the X-T3 to the X-T5. It arrived on Thursday. Shot some images around the neighborhood. I was excited to use the Nostalgic Negative film simulation. After shooting I uploaded them into Lightroom Classic v12.01 with Camera Raw v15. After import I clicked on the first photo in the Develop module. The profile said "Provia". Humm I thought a mistake was made during import. Pulled down the profile browser and well that's when I discovered that not only was Nostalgic Negative missing from Camera Matching profiles but so were Classic Negative, Eterna Bleach Bypass and Sepia. Went back to the Library module to check metadata and Yes the X-T5 along with its serial number and the XF 33mm f/1.4 lens were cited in the Library. Couldn't believe it. So I plugged in my X-T5 to the computer and started up X Raw Studio. Yep X Raw had photo listed with Nostalgic Negative plus when I checked all the sims were listed as well in the app. Next just to be sure I went to Capture One 23 and added the shots I took to it and yes those came in on the Auto setting as Nostalgic Negative. I'm not sure If I am the only one who has discovered this error on LRC. I haven't seen any google results for missing camera profiles in LRC. I just wanted to know if you have discovered the same error in LRC? How soon will it be before Adobe fixes that?

I put it on my X-T4 and realized it was great as an over the shoulder instead of around the neck strap. 🎉The rubbery surface keeps it on your shoulder unless you’re wearing a silk shirt, so don’t do that. I also realized that carrying my camera over my shoulder instead of around my neck was a far more practical way to carry it. The problem in the past was the camera would slip off my shoulder. Not so with this strap. I went from hating to now loving it. And my neck is much happier.

We pre-ordered the X-T5 which we received on release day, having used (and still are using) X-T3s it was an immediate wow in terms of focus speed and quality. We will still be using both XT-5 and XT-3 for a lot of the work we do in studio with the camera tethered, I don't need 2 card slots, WR, or a lot of the other features so an X-T50 would be a great 2nd body to work with the X-T5 but as far as i know, the X-Txx series does not support tethered shooting which would mean it is unusable for our instant print events (camera - wifi to computer - straight to 8"x6" printer all without cables) The X-T5 is a massive upgrade for our photographer that shoots birds and wildlife first day he was raving about how good the tracking was, and how much more cropping he can do from the 40MP files. For our studio portraits where the frame is filled and normally only printed up to 18" x 12" the 26MP files are more than enough, however shooting video without a gimble and the extra weight is appealing but not £1700 appealing right now to buy another X-T5 when we are happy with the 4K from the T3s

Still waiting on mine from B&H photo. Made the purchase on the first day but the demand apparently was beyond expectations. Now I have the tough choice of continuing with Nikon Z6 or going back to Fuji. Cheers!

Hi Omar, I got one! I love your videos, I always watch them with pleasure, I would like one on the various settings of the new af😊

I have the XH2 and the XT3 for a while now and see no reason to also own the XT5. But I am not able to grasp the full performance of the XH2 yet. Amazing cameras! All of them!

I love your presentation and the way you do unboxing.

It is a shame that Fuji does not offer a battery grip for the X-T5, as all prior X-T cameras had this option. I have no interest in the X-H2 or X-H2S. Longer lenses do not balance well on an even smaller camera body, particularly when shooting in a portrait orientation.

Hey Omar. Love your work. I think you wanted to say “UK and Australian” but you did give me a good laugh 😂

Valid points, I will keep and shoot with my xpro3 and xt4 for another 10 years as I think 26MP bsi is sweet spot for me, 40mp is overkill!

The XT-5 is for us, not for you. You know who you are.

Does Fuji sell a thinner strap? Maybe a nice leather one that’s reinforced?

Hi From Wales I got mine last Thursday. Love your channel ❤. What would be your top 5 accessories?

Sorry to bother you folks but I’m a dad who takes tons of pictures of his kid in soccer , volleyball and track and use a Fuji xt2. Is it worth it for me to jump up to the xt5? Mainly use the 50-140 XF lens and use a teleconverter on bright days for more reach. Thanks

I'm regressing. I actually just ordered a "mint" X-T1 on eBay. I love the X-Trans II Velvia colors that much. (We need an X80!)

An XT5 could be on the horizon for me. Still using my XT20 so I've waited a while to step up. Hopefully more content from you about the 5 like I used to watch about the 20.

Hi Omar Yes I have an X-T5 and it definitely is for me, I had an X-H1, so this is a good upgrade for me. I noticed you didn’t get a User’s Manual in the box ? And btw the plug with a plastic and two metal prongs is for the UK market.

Omar Hive, off topic as usual but on topic is like a 2yo video. Omar Hive, not even sure this will pop up. Just ordered the XT30ii with kit lens for street photography and portraits in the city all times of day.Liked the form factor and the tilt screen for possible hip shooting. Am I crazy for not spending the xtra 100 for a better camera in the xs10.Have OIS in kit lens but Ibis for $100 more. Too much stock in IBIS? Can kind of shoot at hip with screen swing out. Too much stock in the tilt screen and tiny bit more camera in your face grip? Can always use and return but wanted some peoples thoughts. Thanks all. I know I’m answering my own ??? Here. Happy holidays all!!!

You got the Gerold Undone purple in the background. He would be proud.

Was so close to getting the X-T5, just as I was checking out I had a change of heart and went for the X-H2s. The stacked sensor is what did it for me. It will allow Fujifilm to really push the camera through firmware updates.
@anonymousl51502 жыл бұрын
Some people like CameraConspiracies hate the noise performance of the stacked sensor. Im not so sure it is an advantage really.
@ghas41512 жыл бұрын
@@anonymousl5150 you can’t take him seriously. The purpose for his channel is looking for the perfect camera… that doesn’t exist. It’s mostly satire.

@@ghas4151 He's not making that stuff up, noise pattern he showed really is weird.

I'm still hanging to the X-T20, I still think it's an amazing camera that fits inside my pocket. However, there's a lot to love about the X-T5, including the film simulations. I thought I'd have an impulse buy with the X-H2, but this body just made that impulse buy redundant. This is going to be my upcoming upgrade for sure!

I'm on the fence with my xt20, think the XT5 might sway me finally
