I don't have a problem with JJ being the tournament BUT I don't understand why EVERY big name wasn't fighting to be in this tournament given the stakes. You're telling me Joe doesn't want the title back? You're telling me MJF doesn't want the title back? You're telling me Christian doesn't want another chance? The problem is nowadays is all the stars people would know from NJPW are either in WWE if u're the Ano'ai Japan faction (Tama Tonga etc except for Jacob Fatu since he was an indie star) or already in AEW (YBs Okada Omega Osprey Jericho) I feel like the only "big star" left in NJPW is Tanahashi and he's semi retired.

I still feel like people still hold onto 2020/2022 AEW too much. The years and run between then was fantastic and really hard to beat but i feel like with AEW being as cold as it is unfortunately atm, people just rush back to those years and get a bit blinded by the nostalgia. I feel like for AEW to improve, we beed to move forward, critique the now and hopefully AEW will listen

Forbidden Door has lost its appeal. NJPW has lost its stars, I’m sure the matches will be bangers, but the show ultimately doesn’t mean much. It’s been hampered by awful writing and your average wrestling fan not caring about non-us wrestlers. Hopefully they’re using this to hit the gas on All In.

🌪️ guys I haven’t put too much thought into it until now watching your video, but do you think that Tony Kahn is having problems since Cody left? Like in other words, I’m not sure how much was influential with the story building in AEW because pretty much since he left things started to go kind of weird. I always assumed it was the bucks and Kenny, Omega and Cody helping with the bigger picture story lines and stuff but now I’m not so sure

Up until Ospreay showed up the whole first segment was really bad. I'm very excited for MJF/Ospreay but I agree with y'all when you said it was bad timing. This should've been next week. I also understand why they put the DG match in his hometown on Collision (they wanted people to show up and watch that show) but not putting him on your flagship show in his hometown is a bad move. There are maybe three matches I'm excited for on Forbidden Door (Swerve/Ospreay, Storm/Mina, Mone match) and the rest I just don't care because I'm not a New Japan guy. I know that isn't AEWs fault BUT I'm in the majority of US Wrestling fans so it kinda is their fault. I hope the show is good and I'm buying it for Swerve/Ospreay.

🌪️ i’m curious about something with all the stats that Tony likes to gather, I wonder if he’s collected any stats on so much crowd size the crowd reactions for when he goes around the country with AEW so that he could kind of sort of choose where AEW goes to try to get the better crowd reactions I’m not saying to avoid other cities, but you know when you’re gonna have a big event and you’re gonna have a lead up show to a big event possibly have it booked for those cities

ok so me and my carer both like mjf and ospreay, but the thing effected us was mjf trying to form a friendship and getting under cut both of us where annoyed at ospreay for timimng of his offer. she genuinely said i don't wat them to fight because i don't want either of them to lose, which honestly reminded me of my 14yr old self hiding behind a cushion watching the bret hbk iron man cringing cause i didn't want them to hurt each other lol.

Everyone is predicting hangman to be the wildcard but honestly I don't think I like him on that role and plus I don't miss him ENOUGH yet. I want it ro be Ricky starks. He is so missed and would be great in that role.

They’re gona keep trying to build up Garcia and he’s going to just lose to MJF or Ospreay. No chance they have him win in a match with either of those two so I don’t understand the point of them building this now. Also thought them having Swerve and Ospreay team up made no sense 4 days before their title match against each other. Its like they just threw names out there to start the show and get the ratings up

Good point. My only issue is I don’t think anyone expects JJ that JJ even has a chance to advance in the tournament. Hes just gona have a match and most likely lose to whoever the wild card is and the wild card will go on to win. It’s just too predictable especially with the names they have in the tournament. You can rule out mostly all of them that they’re not going to be main eventing at Wembley. Should have had a stacked roster for the tournament with the top talent and made it interesting

🌪️ i’m sure you guys who like trashing Sidge a mark for AEW when he does the WWE reviews but more often than not like in this video when it’s trash, he’s going to call them out on trash. Good storytelling wrestling and if it’s not giving you good storytelling wrestling, he is going to call that out no matter which show it is especially AEW because he likes AEW so he’s definitely going to call them out on it. By the way, history shows that both Michael’s used to trash on AEW weekly shows all the time when they first came on, but when the storyline actually had the payoff, they had to eat their words because I see what you guys were doing to build it up to now. Unfortunately Tony Collins been having issues with his weekly storytelling and it’s been very weak. I think he’s just complicated himself and he’s trying to do too much instead of splitting the work stuff is just like all over the place the only thing he has going for him is that he has quality wrestlers working for him not the old timers. They’re always fine. They know what to do but I mean the lions the young ones the original AEW wrestlers that have been there forever.

I never watch forbidden door tbh. Nothing against the Japanese wrestlers but when they and the cmll stars come in it's a distraction from the aew storylines. I really wish they would stop this and just concentrate on booking more of their own company talent. Fair enough if somebody wins a title from another company. Let them walk to the ring with it but stop defending other companies belts on aew TV and ppv's. Aew has plenty of belts itself tbh
